Orange Bowl Game Thread/Bowl Season Thread

I usually like watching the bowls between XMas and New Year’s, but the Badger loss still stings and the Packer season really hasn’t given me a strong appetite for football.
Purdue has already put up 28 on Zona and it’s only the 2nd quarter.

I'll watch the Badgers and the playoff games but that's about it this year.

The bowls have be pretty wank this year. The Iowa/BC is the first game that has been close it seems.

Good bowls starting up tonight. 3 games with both teams ranked, ending with the Holiday, which is usually fun.

Sounds like TJ Edwards may actually stay. Still think he should go because I don't think he has much to prove, but he got a grade that told him to stay.

B10 is 3-0. Northwestern and OSU today. Penn State and Bucky tomorrow, Michigan on Monday.

This is the one benefit of being left out of the playoffs. All of the B10 teams are "down a rung" in matchups. Pretty much favored in every one.

Yeah between having 4 teams in the New Years Six last year and the Penn St/Ohio St suspensions, the B1G has been on the opposite end of that a lot recently where they're being moved up a peg. Nice to see the conference taking advantage of some favorable matchups so far.

I thought it should have been the opposite of how it's playing out, if anything. Edwards had nothing left to prove, but Nick Nelson did with his physical tools but tendency to hold and lack of sample at a high level.
That said, Nelson would be the one we need more because of the lack of experienced, quality alternatives. Got a promising recruit in Burton, but still be light. Would feel better about things if they actually landed Brents too, or if he can't be admitted another ballyhood cb. You'd think there would be a lure because of defensive rep and team need.

Pac 12 is a pretty awful conference.

Can you really take Darnold in the top 10 when he turns it over as much as he does? It's not like he has great arm strength or anything either.

Put in just as good of a performance as Hornibrook did against O$U, and we want him benched.

Based on how the top American teams are looking against middle of the pack P5 squads, I’m expecting UCF to get destroyed tomorrow.

Have the toughest test of anyone in the B1G, playing effectively a road game. Nobody should be able to blame us if we keep the conference from being unblemished. It'd be natural.
I just expect the game to be close. If it isn't, I'd be very disappointed. Our defense should keep us in it, again. Then got to hope Hornibrook can make a play here or there without adding links to the turnover chain this time. I doubt we can just run right through them. But maybe tOSU was just a different animal we didn't fully appreciate at the time, and JT will be back in full effect.

Miami has a bunch of injuries. Should win. Probably be more Badger fans than Hurricane.
