Jordan Matthews’ one-year deal with the Patriots is worth $1MM with $170K guaranteed, Ben Volin of The Boston Globe tweets. The deal includes an $90K guaranteed, a modest $790K salary, and a $130K offseason workout bonus. Matthews was hampered by injuries in 2017, but prior to that, he had three strong seasons with the Eagles, so he could prove to be a major value signing for New England.

Knee and ankle injuries clearly limited his impact. I'm not saying Mathews is the be all end all. And, clearly, he got a reduced contract - are teams worried about the lingering injury concerns? Are they worried that he is most dynamic in the slot?

I'm saying: that is a very very good project on a player proven to put up numbers when healthy. But, whatever. I disagree with you. Moving on.

Would still try to get a DB of some sort. Seen a couple mocks that had either Ward, JJax or Roq available at 14 and Landry/Hughes within at least striking distance. Man, if they could manage a combination of those 5, I'd be thrilled.

I don't see Dez being a fit with Rodgers personality wise, but if Rodgers and MM think they can make it work I'd be open to giving him a shot. He's probably going to get more money than he's worth right now so it's likely a moot point.

I'd put together my strongest pitch for Dez. Could be close to a Woodson level pickup. Sounds like he wants to stay in the NFC East to spite Jerry.
