Minny Lead Up - Rodgers, Adams, Burks Questionable; Josh Jones OUT
Minny didn't play great against the Niners and have no Mack but their defense is better than Chicago's, so is their offense. Rodgers will be gimpy. Tough game. Pack opens as a 1.5 point favorite.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Huge game so early in the season. Looks like it's going to be tough.
Only hope is Rodgers wants a revenge game on the team that knocked him out last year and just goes on a mother F'ing tear.

Still worried about his knee, ridiculous comeback or not. I'm anxious to get a diagnosis.

I saw it open as a pk and the Packer line appears to be getting hammered.

Cho seemed to suggest strained MCL. I do fear the small chance that they realize it's torn but they have 95% certainty with the tests on the field.

Agreed - I still won't be surprised if it comes out today that he's out for a significant period of time. Obviously hope I'm wrong.

I know that Cho (the twitter sports doctor) is laughed at sometimes, but he suggested Rodgers putting weight on the outside of his leg right away was a very good sign.
He commented that the tiny brace/strap suggested a mild sprain of the MCL.
He will probably have limited mobility which may suck if teams can gameplan for it, but I don't think there is an ACL tear. Always the <5% chance, of course.

If the game was at Minny, I could see the team conceding and Aaron sitting. But to have a realistic shot at winning the division, they probably need to win this home game.

They just put him into a game that they probably had a 3-5% chance of winning at the time. If the game was at Minny we'd be a 2 or 3 point underdog so I doubt they'd bench Rodgers.

It was also a home division game though, and I think they need all 3 of them to have a chance at winning the division.

Re: Minny Lead Up
A few things lost in the hysteria:
Explaining the Mack situation to incessant dummy Packer fans is going to be my new "The Bucks never had a chance at Dirk" seminar. Already annoyed with it.
If the Pack truly believe in Kizer's potential it has to be as a developmental #3 guy for now. If there is a veteran available via trade or free agency they absolutely have to bring him in. DK folded.
Aaron Jones will help this team. Williams can't make anyone miss. Running game will be non existent until we get Jones back and going.
I was so wrong about not needing Cobb. I don't want to extend him but for this year he's crucial as Aaron ain't gonna put any trust in any of the rookies.
I get people being upset about the offensive line woes. I don't get people saying they never had a plan for the offensive line and didn't address it. They definitely tried to rebuild the line and spent a lot of draft picks on it. The guys just ended up sucking. Sometimes that happens. That being said, RG needs to be addressed. McCray doesn't look like an NFL player and reminds me of when the Packers tried to replace Wahle and Rivera with the Adrian Klemms and Will Whittickers of the world. They should call up Jahri Evans, who was under appreciated last year.
Clay Matthews needs to pick up Nick Perry's dinner tabs for the rest of the season at least. Got bailed out after one of the all time dumbass moves. Not only was he clearly late by a lot, even if he wasn't, the way that he launched himself onto Trubisky he was going to draw a flag 10 times out of 10. Absolutely stupid move and not the first time. Really can't wait to see him move on.
Punter kid looked alright at least.

One thing regarding Rodgers' health:
Vegas probably wouldn't have put an immediate line out on the board if they knew there was some uncertainty around Rodgers' health.

Re: Minny Lead Up
Absolutely need to establish the running game with Williams/Montgomery for this one. Pass rush needs to show up. I think the defense matches up well with their play-makers but if you give Cousins, or really any half-way decent QB all day to throw in the pocket like we allowed with Trubisky, you're gonna have a bad time. Wasn't at all impressed by the Minny offense against a subpar Niners defense at home. Jimmy G pretty much spotted them 10 points with the 3 INTs including the pick-6. Rodgers isn't gonna gift them possessions like that.

Packers need to stop the run. I like the matchups for the packers outside vs minny WRs.

The young corners actually played really well last night. I hope they keep getting better, and stay healthy.

What happened to Montgomery? Was he never that good? He looked so explosive a 18 months ago and now you can't even find him on the field.

Re: Minny Lead Up
If Rodgers is out for some time. Would you consider Jay Cutler or Colin Kaepernick?
Would Jay Cutler even want to be a Packer? He has said he wants to start. He would get that chance just not for the entire season.
My opinion is we need to take a chance if Rodgers is out....and those are the only 2 guys that would give us a chance of winning.
Any other names out there? I saw Ryan Mallet, Derek Anderson, Scott Tolzien. blah...
