Lions Lead Up

Post#1 » by 0BobLobLaw0 » Mon Oct 1, 2018 3:16 pm

Need a week of improved health. Shouldn't be any issues coming out with a win.

Hopefully Rodgers can practice most of the week and Cobb gets back out there.

I think Rodgers not practicing showed yesterday, regardless of the play-calling. Timing with receivers was off, a few bad throws, and probably should have been picked 2-3 times. So yeah, the knee looked much better so hopefully he can get more practice reps in going forward.

Every road division game is gonna be tough, but we match up pretty well with the Lions. They have no pass rush without Ansah, and their run defense stinks. Offense needs to play better, but hopefully they should be able to run the ball all over this front-7.

It's always tough in Detroit.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Not sure what to expect from detroit. Have had a couple of close losses, 1 bad loss and blew out NE.

I think the NE game was an outlier (coach knows NE inside and out) as was the Jets game (somehow the Jets knew every play coming, the Jets said in interviews).

I just don't think Det's defense can stop the packers. Need to score TD's instead of FG's this week. Detroit actually has an offense but i think the packers match up well with them and can get pressure. Must win the next two weeks. Packers win 34-21.

Obviously PFF rankings don't mean everything, but some interesting stuff there.

Kenny Clark is the best DI behind Aaron Donald (edit:although on the PFF website, it lists him as #7 but still in the elite category)

Martinez is somehow the 2nd best LB

Jaire being the 15th best CB as a rookie is nice. He's definitely much better than King or Jackson from what I can tell

WR group looks like garbage

Been saying that Haha's been getting too much criticism and this pretty much backs it up. Now, do I think that he's been a Top-5 safety in the league? Not really, but he's hardly been a part of why the pass defense has struggled in any of the games this year.

Kenny is a **** stud and he's shut up all the Myles Jack stans pretty quickly.

Clark was a great pick because he was super young and produced in NCAA. Those guys have high probability of success.

Somebody mentioned the other day that we have great O skill players, and I'm not seeing. Graham looks close to washed, Allison is a WR4, Cobb is average, Williams is a fullback, etc. I'd play Adams, Monty (slot), and Jones a ton and hope to hell that one of the rookie receivers hit.

I actually think Jackson has been better than that ranking too, but yeah, Alexander looks like a stud. Also surprised McCray is the #11 guard.

Said it earlier but the PFF grades back it up. Graham's been underwhelming, especially when he's getting paid Top-5 TE money. Need him to be better than he has been. Kendricks has been pretty much worthless, and I still don't know why they brought Lewis in if they're never going to use him in the red zone.

You would think so wouldn't ya? Still have people bringing up Jack from time to time though

I can't recall a single really good play he's made since his signing, but i can recall multiple terrible drops and he doesn't block well either.

Ha Ha had some really bad missed tackles the first few games that have stuck with me, but he has made some big plays. Not like all his interceptions were incredible, but given what we've seen with Brice, just being able to locate the ball is much appreciated

Kenny is just about to turn 23. Really happy about that pick. Now we just need a guy like that on the edge

I mean 2 out of 3 have been really freaking good plays and it's not like the majority of INTs arent passes that should've never been thrown.

The only rating that surprised me was Martinez.

I question McCray and King’s rating quite a bit. Martinez is way overvalued as is HHCD - in the 90’s?!?. Other than that I agree.
