Thursday national game - Colts and Pats - Meh

Other division games, Vikings at Eagles

Bears have a bye.

Jax/KC could be interesting although Jax crapped the bed last week.

I don't think the Vikings make the playoffs if they lose against Philly. Gonna be rooting hard for the Eagles (ugh).

Two desperate teams. Should be fun. But it's on opposite Brewers game 3.

First quarter of the season and my take away is that I'll be somewhat surprised if the Bears don't win the north. The Vikings don't look like the same team from last year. The Packers just aren't very good and I am not sure at this point Aaron Rodgers can simply Godgers the Packers to a division title.

Mack has made the Bears pretty legit and if they can get anything resembling solid and consistent from Trubisky, the Bears could be dangerous in the NFC. If I am a team like the Rams, one of the last things I want to see in January is Khalil Mack and that bears defense.

It's definitely a good defense built on an elite pass rush, but I think a team like the Rams can abuse that secondary. I'm sure they'll beat up on a lot of teams in their schedule and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they finish 12-4. The only good offenses they'll play on the road are....the Dolphins and Vikings I guess? Really favorable scheduling. Rams, Seahawks, and Patriots are all home games and it's completely flipped for us. Weeks 8-12 could be brutal. I think it's very likely we beat them twice, but lose the division.

Idk about the Vikings. Feel like they're gonna go 8-7-1

Hate the Pats got Gordon.

Yep, classic Patriots move. The Browns did all the work of babysitting Gordon for the last 5 years. Now the Patriots are going to reap the rewards after he finally matures.

Weird take when we were the superior team with godgers and the only reason it was close was because Kizer gifted them 14 points. We can discuss more after game 2 but until then I’m not worried.

Have you read Rilamans posts before? If you flipped the jerseys on the two teams he'd be talking about how the 3 wins are nothing but fools gold because of their trash competition and the one good team they played they managed to choke away the game because they're mentally weak.

The Bears are a 7-8 win team that's feasted on some really bad teams (note: an "8 win team" can very easily finish with 10-11 wins based on a few breaks the same way that same team could finish with 5 wins if the ball bounces the other way). I give them credit for that though. I really do. Not playing down to the level of the competition isnt to be taken for granted and I'll admit their defense has been better then I thought it would be.

That said dont be fooled by Trubisky from last week. He's still bad and that offense is really going to struggle to put up any kind of points unless the defense continues to gift wrap them. And as we've seen time and time again that's not all that sustainable unless we're talking about the all time great defenses.

As for the Vikings this is a huge week for them but even should they lose I wouldn't count them out of anything. It would make their hill tougher to climb but I still wouldn't be surprised to see them go on an 8-2 tear after a 1-3-1 start should they lose (then again **** the Vikings I hope they lose out)

Kizer was in the game because the Bears defense was getting to Rodgers and eventually knocked Rodgers out of the game, hence my point. The next best thing if you don't have an Aaron Rodgers at QB, is having a defense that can knock an Aaron Rodgers out of the game. The Bears have that

Obviously I give Rodgers a ton of credit for coming back, but it took a hall of fame performance by Rodgers to beat the Bears by 1pt at Lambeau and next time we play them, it won't be the first time Khalil Mack stepped on a football field in 8 months.

Watching Vrabel and the Titans should replace capital punishment in this country. No run game, no pass game. Worst offense and playcalling in history. Now looking at being 4-1. lol.

Their D is quality, but that offense is an absolute joke. Completely oblivious to modern day NFL football. Maybe if they were effective with what they wanted to do, I could see bucking the trend. They are just terrible at it.

Thankfully they lost. The universe shouldn't reward whatever it is Tennessee is doing.

Great call by Sean McVay going for it on 4th & 1. I'd rather trust my offense to get 1 yard and end the game than give Russell Wilson the ball with a minute and a half left only needing a FG to win.

So in the NFC, it’s kind of:
Rams

Everyone Else

Yeah i thought Carroll made a mistake by taking a TO giving McVay a chance to reconsider, the Rams had no TO's and had to punt or take a delay of game...and having 1 minute + a TO is still a pretty good scenario for Seattle.
