Badgers at Purdue

Post#1 » by Kerb Hohl » Thu Nov 15, 2018 9:22 pm

Starting this early given heavy rumors that Brohm is leaving for Louisville in 2 weeks.

Maybe this is why Purdue lost by 100 to Minnesota.

Hornibrook is doing stuff at practice but it sounds like Coan likely is still the guy this week.

Super unsurprising that he would end up there - I think it's quite well known how close he and really his entire family is to Louisville. That said, I am surprised that Louisville didn't aim higher. Or maybe they tried to and failed. Brohm is very much so a coach trying to prove himself. Not that Louisville is an elite school, but they're good enough that I thought they would have tried to go with someone more proven (and likely, thus, waiting until this offseason). They must really think Brohm is a blooming coach who could have found the last stop of his career.

I think Brohm's coaching prospects are a lot higher than you believe. He's very much a rising star in the profession.

Yeah, I don't see it. I could be wrong and might be proven as much. But his WKU resume doesn't impress me the way other 'rising star' coaches at smaller schools do. I guess the O$U win is supposed to stick with me more than it did. I guess I'm stuck on their bad losses, too, like Minnesota and Eastern Michigan.

Maybe I do take him lightly. I guess we'll see.

I hope the Louisville rumor is not true just to make Dakich look like an ass.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Coan has actually been ok so far. Penalties by the offensive line have been a major factor.

Yeah that was one of the more idiotic sacks you can take. Also, all the bootlegs and play action aren't working at all, the defense has it covered every time.
