I think those issues evaporate with a new coach and a new system in place.
I don't know about that - I think those issues will get magnified in the short term. Aaron is going to be 35-going-on-36 next year with all-but-one year in his entire career being played in one system. He's basically spent most of his career - since his MVP season in 2011 - running the scheme his way; and he seems to enjoy freelancing however and whenever he can.
It's hard to teach and old dog new tricks; it's even harder to teach an MVP who has played in one system for pretty much his entire career to tone it down and run the plays being given to him. That will require him developing trust in his HC and the system being presented to him. That will require trust in his teammates to run the plays as written.
I get what you're saying, but if one of the most stubborn players of all time in Brett Favre could be reigned in by Mike McCarthy and Brad Childress in his later years, I'm sure Rodgers could be too.
