Re: Atlanta Lead Up
A loss means we pass them in the standings. Therefore this is a must lose.

It won't happen yet, but let's evaluate some of the backups. Let Kizer get some reps with (what's left of) the starting offensive line, etc. Play Tonyan, Kumerow, Boyle, etal more. Gute can clean out more of the marginal talent.

Re: Atlanta Lead Up
The Packers are just half a game out of having a chance at the 5th pick in the draft.

Re: Atlanta Lead Up
Absolute must lose game. Jump Atlanta in the draft order with a loss. So close to the #5 pick but a win or two and we will be in teens. Big games coming up.

Re: Atlanta Lead Up
I'm guessing 2-2 over the last games, with the Packers taking this game as a rebound after the bellyflop against the Cardinals. They get swamped in Chicago, lose to the Jets, and eke out a win over Detroit (while playing a bunch of the bench players.)

Re: Atlanta Lead Up
We probably win out......
I love to start some of the youngins and get them reps.
Can't wait to see Matthews, Perry, Cobb and Bulaga gone.

Other than Kizer/Boyle, playing the young guys probably leads to more wins based on what I've seen. Keep playing the guys who are checked out and gone next year. Need these losses with all the premium defensive talent at the top of the draft.

The Bears will still be fighting to maintain their playoff seed, so their defensive talent will have Rodgers running for his life. Atlanta, Jets, and the Lions are in the same just-out-of-it funk as the Packers, so we could see almost any combination of lineups from everyone. I'm just guessing the Packers win their home games and fold on the road....

Re: Atlanta Lead Up
I am going to laugh my ass off if Rodgers has his best game of the season and the Packers score 40+ on Sunday.
If that happens, the NFC playoff teams will then thank the football Gods that the Packers have 7.5 losses. Or maybe they'll just thank Mike McCarthy.

Atlanta is a horrible defense this year with an injury decimated secondary. If Brett Favre Jr can't do it here, they may need to consider using one of those 1sts on a replacement.

I don't know what to make of his statement about not calling plays for so long. I really don't know if it's that big of a deal or not, but it's an eye-opener all the same.
