I've heard that excuse but what did he expect to happen if Rodgers got the ball in OT?

That was our best chance to win, IMO. One shot from the two where you don't need guys who can stretch the field.

The Packers were a major underdog in that game and as a major underdog, you put yourself in a position where you were 2 yards away from winning the game. By kicking the extra point, you basically re-set the game and had to be the underdog all over again.

One of countless examples of why Mike McCarthy was an absolute buffoon.

If the Packers were healthy, at home and were a 13-3 team with legit Super Bowl aspirations in that same position, then yeah, you 110% kick the extra point and go to overtime, but not when you're the underdog on the road playing with practice squad WRs.

It was also one of many examples of why McCarthy was completely clueless when knowing when to be aggressive and when to be conservative.

If the Packers actually had a healthy championship team in that position, McCarthy probably would have went for 2 with a vanilla play-call...lol.

Mike McCarthy was a **** joke and so are the Packers as an organization for firing him about 8 years too late.

I went back and read that Cardinals game thread. I was so proud of myself for not only saying they should've gone for 2 but that they also should've gone for the onside kick to start OT.

Saving cap space on a kicker is all the rage now.

Speaking of leaks, here's a little Jay Cutler humor apropos of nothing.

“Reality star and new mom Kristin Cavallari for some reason told E! that her husband, former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, ‘unclogged her milk ducts by “sucking harder than he’s ever sucked.”’ Clearly she has never seen her husband play football.” — STEPHEN COLBERT

I've seen him suck harder. I watched his career with the Bears.

Well, at least the home games would mainly be pleasant ones to attend. Also, I think this could be a good thing -- hopefully that enables us to get off to a fast start and get some momentum rolling before the KC/LA games.
