Re: ATL Conference Championships
If you erased 90% of Brady's career, he'd still be a first ballot hall of famer.

I agree. Winning on a coin flip just does not seem right. Do it like college.BJ Sandered wrote:I don't like the overtime rules. Both sides should get a chance to score.

Re: ATL Conference Championships
Brady is the GOAT. Belichick is great, but Brady seems to make all of the throws when it matters.
I think Rodgers is a more purely talented QB. If his defense was better, he's probably won at least three Super Bowls at this point. But you can't make a real case without winning titles, and one isn't enough to take the throne from Brady going to 9 Super Bowls and winning at least 5.

I dont love college OT but at least it's fair. But I don't want it for the NFL
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think that Brady is a great Qb because he plays with in the system better.MartyConlonOnTheRun wrote:Bernman wrote:humanrefutation wrote:I hate the Pats and am rooting for the Chiefs but it's kind of incredible that Brady is still doing this.
I hate to say it, but this year was probably the best for Brady in his argument against A-Rodg in the all-time conversation. He created some separation that A-Rodg needs to close up in subsequent seasons. One of the many reasons why I want the Pats to lose.
Yeah, I don't think Rodgers will close that gap unless they win a super bowl in the next couple years. Brady has the team and individual records at this point. The only argument for Rodgers is that he is subjectively a better player.

Brady came within a Kansas City dude lining up in the neutral zone of throwing the game ending INT.

OT should be just keep playing and add another 10 minutes.

I like Ted Davis’ idea of it being like basketball OT. Keep playing until the clock ends

Re: ATL Conference Championships
I like the idea of not bitching about the OT rules, personally. The Chiefs had their chances. They **** them up. Period. Then, they had the Pats in 3 THIRD AND LONGS. No pressure. No plays made. Brady: perfect throws. Edleman and Gronk perfect hands. You have to execute. THIS is why the Patriots are so amazing. They almost always do. And, they almost always capitalize on the consistent mistakes of teams with lesser poise and clutch. It's pretty simple actually.
EDIT:
I mean, seriously. If Mahomes gets the ball first and drives and scores its a narrative of "I'm so glad the Patriots lost. **** Tom Brady and **** New England." It's just to a point where I calmly say: Get over it. They're amazing.

Agreed.
People will still bitch if a ball control offense is able to start OT with an 8+ minute TD drive, and leave less than 2 minutes for the other team.
But once again. Don't have a sieve defense.

Yeah, I really don't want to hear about the Patriots being so amazing. I'm going to hear that **** **** for the next two weeks from dumb ****, I don't need to hear it here too.

So, what, the other option is:
Ohhhhh, booooo hooooooo, that OT was so unfair!

KC playing 2 safeties high made no sense. Patriot's kill you underneath, you're just gonna bleed a slow death. Make Brady beat you downfield.

You know what's really incredible?
They won this game on the road while losing the turnover margin 0/2.

Post of the day. You're 100% correct, Patriots haters are disingenuous because we all know that if the Chiefs won the toss and went down scored a TD none of them would say a word about the overtime rules.

Re: ATL Conference Championships
I still can't believe how lucky Edelman got on that punt bounce. Like, how on Earth?!?
EDIT:
Seriously, if that's a Packer return man I feel like the moment he even hints at going for that ball it hits both hands; rolls up his arms; bounces off his chest; the facemask; catapults off the top of his helmet into the endzone where the opposing team recovers for 6 easy points.
Some teams are just blessed by the football gods in addition to being uncannily good.

This is what I think too. Just play the whole thing out.
Oh, and by the way, this isn't just because it would have helped the Chiefs out today.
