I wouldn't say Savage has taken a step back. He's never been good and he's still not good so he's pretty much just the same and absolutely not what you want from a 1st rounder that you traded up for.

To me, Savage seemed like a real good pick at first. He was doing well till he went out with the ankle injury last year, and it also seems like he forgot how to tackle since then....

Savage made PFF's All-Rookie team and graded out as a Top-30 safety last season. He's been pretty garbage in 2020 but to say that he was never good is pretty inaccurate. He had a promising rookie year so hopefully he can turn it around.
