Saw a mock that said the Chargers might take him to use in their 3 safety look they used against Baltimore.

You don't move back, pick up picks, and still take Savage. That's not how it works. He was going to be gone in the next few picks.

It was also fine value.

I never understood the thing where people create these scenarios where we could've for sure traded back or not traded up and still gotten Player X.

Seems to me that Pettine is revamping the D to get the guys he wants. I mean, not a surprise, and not a revelation of a statement. But seems like that's what's happening. All new corners, and soon to be safeties and rushers. We needed it.

Feel free to use, no big deal.

+1 for using the word davenport. You're so midwestern.
I HATED when late grandmother called it a davenport as a wee kid...I was like, "this looks like a couch. You mean the couch grandma?"

So basically, whoever we've contacted in the pre-draft process, likely isn't gonna be a Packer :P

Yea, I'm surprised anyone think we gave up a lot. This was an easy win for GB.

If you trade out of 12 that is indeed how it could have worked.

Walter Footballs draft grades for us have been brutal tonight. That guy's becoming more and more of a hack.

I don't like trading up in the 1st round period regardless of what the trade chart says. There is a reason New England almost never does and a reason they always trade backwards.

Having said that I like the Savage pick. Just didn't like trading up to get him.

With the 1st we got from Nawlins for dropping back to draft our stud Jaire.

So basically our 4th and an expiring Ha Ha for the best safety prospect in the draft class. Love it

Shouldn’t even matter....he won the trade answer only gave up two fourths. Oh can trade down and get those picks back if you want. I will say this, Gute was aggressive. He spent money and drafted two high picks. No excuses...if these signings and picks bust he will be gone in two years. Still an important second round pick tomorrow.

Why the **** should we care about what New England does?
