In the battle for backup QB does Rodgers have a say?

I only mention this because in Rodgers very recent locker room interview he mentions quickly that Boyle sends him notes on the offense.
He then proceeds to thank him personally in a way showing fondness. It seems they have a nice rapport and he might prefer boyle if packers only keep 2 qb's. These guys spend a lot of time in QB room so he'll want a buddy and helpful presence.
Now of course the guy who plays the best will get the job and Gute will do what he wants in the end no matter what. But if it's a coin flip and rodgers makes his opinion known that could go a long way! We did give up a former 1st round pick who is looking like a good safety though for Kizer. So you'd think they'd wanna keep him if they can in backup spot. What does everyone think on this?
