Preseason Game 1: Houston at Green Bay - 7:00

Channel 4 locally. Harlan and Lofton on the call. Kuhn on the field.

I love watching the guys play hard trying to make the team. I don't know the QB plan but I'd love to see if Wilkins can turn into a keeper. Kizer needs to go.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Totally agreed. I haze zero interest in Kizer’s development at present. I’m already in the ‘I’ve seen enough...’ camp. Maybe Wilkins shows something? At this point I almost feel like they cut all of them, stash Wilkins, and pick up a waived vet.

Oddly excited for the team for the first time in many years. I'll even be watching all the pre season.

I know the offense will be pretty vanilla for both teams, I just hope to see the young guys win one on ones.

Alright, lets list our favorite preseason performers who didn't amount to anything:

I'll start by tossing out Herbert "Whisper" Goodman.

I get all excited and am fully back on the Packers wagon. Mom’s flight is delayed and arriving later today followed by abbirthday dinner for a 16 yo. The things we do for family. This is my preseason too. Pffffffft.

Vic So'oto.

By the way, this is exactly why I essentially don't watch preseason (I know most don't) and barely discuss it.

Sure, there is always the emergence of a recent draft pick or UDFA stud but there is nothing worse about sports chatter than extended family ripping management for not giving Boyle or Callahan a fair shake...or debating how good Herb Waters is.

I will never forget the hours of having to watch some late season Hundley games in 2017 listening to everyone talking about how much better things could be with Callahan just to amp up the already **** experience.

Ironically they kept a guy who was actually worse over him

My guy is Abdul Hodge. Everyone anointed him the second coming after his first Family Night and then never did another thing of note.

To be fair, I think Abdul Hodge was going to be a really good player but injuries derailed him. He had surgery on both knees after having his rookie season cut short and he was never the same again.

It's going to be weird as hell watching a Packer team that is lead by someone who might be an actual NFL head coach. I've waited a decade for this.
