If Lamb falls into the 20s I'd be doing whatever I could to move up.

Six teams wanted to sign him apparently

Unless Lamb poops his pants during the 40 and then pees those same pants during the 3 cone, he wont make it past 15.

I wonder if the pack consider a RB day 2 or early day 3. MLF seems committed to the run game and both Jones and Williams are nearing the ends of their rookie deals.

First impression, he sounds like he's a bit of a utility guy: lots of receiving, some rushing, some return work.

4.53 and a 39.5 vert on his pro day.

No way Lamb falls anywhere near us.....I think the top tight ends will still be there.

Also, it would help to have more and better options at RB as the season progresses and injuries add up. i.e. J Williams and Vitale are still dinged up, Dexter Williams is still a work in progress. What happens to next year run game if Jones goes down for any length of time?

This prediction would be easier if I knew what they truly felt about Dexter Williams. It was obvious they didn't trust him earlier this year but guys do get better and theyve had several weeks of practice to get a look. If they think hes turned a corner then I guess it's possible they just run this group back one more year then look at the 21 draft.

Top 5 FA wish list

1: AJ Green

2: Schobert

3: Robby Anderson

4: Hunter Henry

5: Hooper

Not sure 3 of those guys even make it to the market but if Gute can get 2 of the 5 I'd be ecstatic

Worried about Green's injury history and age. Hooper sounds like mostly a possession receiver at te who is just an average blocker a best. I like the other 3 guys.

Greens injury history and age are the only reasons why hes even a possibility and Hooper is on there because of likely cost effectiveness. (a guy who can be effective without breaking the bank)

Re: 2019 Packers Regular Season Thread - Dillon Elected to the HOF

Bobby Dillon was elected to the Pro Football HOF.

If you, like me, had never heard of him, here's a nice snapshot:

Safety Bobby Dillon (Green Bay Packers, 1952-59)

Dillon did his best work before they became Vince Lombardi's Packers. Green Bay had losing seasons in seven of Dillon's eight years with the team. Dillon, like many of his era, retired before his 30th birthday and before the Packers could have enjoyed his talents on a consistent winner. Dillon also played with a glass eye because of childhood accident.

Why he was elected: Dillon retired with a staggering 52 interceptions in 94 games. In a decidedly run-first era, Dillon is tied for 26th with Hall of Famers Champ Bailey, Jack Butler, Mel Renfro and Larry Wilson on the league's all-time list for interceptions. Dillon had three seasons with nine interceptions and five seasons with at least seven picks.

I only have heard the short bio pieces, like this. The thing I find fascinating with him is with one eye, his depth perception and peripheral vision would be somewhat limited. How in hell was he such an outstanding ball-hawk? He must have been an extraordinary athelete for his time.

52 interceptions in 94 games in an era where the average starting QB was only attempting ~15 passes a game is.......mind-blowing. That'd mean he essentially averaged a pick every 30 pass attempts over a 16 game season (they only played 12-14 games back then).

Dillon’s career is definitely more impressive than Drew Pearson’s. Not sure why the uproar over Pearson not making the HOF with a career consisting of only two 1k seasons and three pro bowls.
