Vikings Lead Up

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Fri Sep 6, 2019 6:53 pm

Our first home game of the season is a noon game against the Vikings.

Let's start 2-0.

Haven't followed the vikings at all this off season... did they improve their line? if the packers front seven get pressure like they did against the bears and the vikings o-line is the same as last year, jesus christ kirk will get killed.

The Vikings had one of the worst OL last season and had to revamp it as much as they could during the season and after. I'd expect the Packers to play in the backfield all night.

Alumni game, Bart Starr tribute, Pack win.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Gonna be a hella tough game. Offense has to somehow show up. Davis and MVS have to be featured more because they can run. Speed is so critical at WR position.

Hopefully Cousins is in the mood to throw a pick or two.

Not going to overreact to them drubbing the Falcons. Atlanta had two TOs deep in their territory, and were moving the ball. Unfortunately that early blocked punt really set the tone.

Falcons out gained them. Turnovers hurt big time.

Yeah but they only had 208 yards going into the 4th quarter. Then the Vikings went up by 28 and played prevent.

Going to need a vintage Rodgers game for the W, Vikings are good.

Ehhhhh. Theyll be a much better test of whether the Packers new defense is legit but Atlanta gift wrapped them 14 points.

Always hard to anoint teams as either good or bad after one week

It will be very strange not having Bart Starr back for a game appearance this season. He was always a fixture out on the field for at least one game every season, usually for the alumni game. So many of the Lombardi greats are now starting to fall by the wayside. The Favre era guys 1990's guys will start to dominate that event in the decade ahead.

Most of the Lombardi guys are in their 80's. It will be interesting to see how many of them will be there this weekend. Dave Robinson and Willie Davis for sure.

This should be a good test. I think Minnesota is a solid 9-11 win team. Gonna be a much bigger test for a db's with thielen and diggs and also stopping their running game that ran through atlanta's D with no issue.

Falcons might honestly have a bottom-3 defense. Cousins only had to throw the ball 10 times and they were outgained by nearly 100 yards in total offense. We'll see how sustainable a winning formula that is. Don't let Cook go off for 7 yards a carry and that offense becomes incredibly mediocre.

Their "revamped" O-Line is built for the run game. Need to get them into passing down and then put the hurt on Cousins.

The old Tramon philosophy? Force their QB to play QB?

(I agree, by the way)

Falcons looked completely inept on offense for almost that entire game. Matt Ryan is utter trash and the Falcons somehow looked worse than they did last year with their offensive line. Vikes D had a lot to do with most of that, but Ryan is so bad.

Hopefully the Packers can stop this little 'we run team now' momentum crap from the Vikings. Congrats, you ran all over an awful Falcons D at home. Need Kirk to get back to being the world's most mediocre QB winning every other week thanks to his own poor decision making.
Go Bucks!
