Even if the Packer's defense is just good enough to make bad quarterbacks look bad, it will be an improvement over what we've seen over the past few seasons lol. I think our D is legit, my worry is can we score enough points to beat a team with a legit QB.

We've always made bad QBs look bad. It was our inability to make good-great QBs look average once in awhile that killed us.

Kirk Cousins IS good.

Cousins definitely isn't a bad QB.

Last year, he averaged 383.5 yards per game against the Packers with a 7-1 TD/INT ratio.

Yeah, both Trubisky and Cousins looked much better against us last year.

Lazard or Shepherd have to be better than Davis, no? He's not even valuable as a returner. He had 10 yards of space on a kick and did nothing with it.

You guys know that Trevor Davis is notably ahead of both Lazard and Shepherd on the WR depth chart, right?

Im not sure how notable it is. He hasnt showed us much and the other 2 had solid pre seasons.

He has seen field time as a WR this season in front of Kumerow. He is also our #1 gunner. The other 2 players got to play against people who are now on practice squads and not in the league. Let's allow context to be important to our analysis.

I'm pretty sure the guy you replied to was saying it isn't very notable that he's ahead of those players as Davis has never topped 100 receiving yards in a season, while also having 1 career TD. He has shown 0 ability to be a receiver in the NFL up to this point. I don't think the staff even view him as a legitimate receiving threat.

He's pretty much on the roster to fair catch punts.

How many snaps did Davis get as a WR today?

He's the fastest WR on the roster. He got some snaps in Week 1 and got a catch.

Just back from the game. Crowd was good. Many Vikings fans of course. A few never stood up but didn't complain when everyone else did.

Great first 16 minutes and then hanging on. Thank you Kirk Cousins.

An important thing to remember is these first 3 weeks are about the worst possible matchups in the league for an offense trying to implement a new system.

2-0 isnt something to shake our heads at

I'm not even a massive Trevor Davis fan, but it seems like everyone is picking such a weird thing to be upset about -- especially after winning 2 games behind great special teams and defensive play while our offense looked anemic.

Outside of the slip up on one punt return (and let me remind you that we also blatantly held on the same play), I am not sure we blocked a single gunner all day. All of the kickoffs were unreturned touchbacks. He fair caught the ball. Even the booth was trying to push some sort of "almost fumble" agenda on a punt he caught where he got hit.

Why aren't people picking at, say, Lane Taylor for getting massacred in the 2nd straight game? Jimmy Graham for looking like he has never tried to block in his life (or the calls for asking him to do so)? Corey Linsley for chucking a ball into Rodgers' leg, or Jamal Williams for having no idea it even happened? You are going to get mad for a play that was going to come back for holding, and even then Trevor Davis took a helmet to helmet to cancel out that penalty. I don't get it. The vitriol doesn't match the impact.

We could hold the Patriots to 16 and people here would still question whether the D is good or Tom Brady is bad.

Packers should be 3-0 by now. This team sucks.

That might have been the most frustrating wire-to-wire victory I've ever seen. Graham being completely invisible yet again is only going to hold back this offense going forward. But I'll take 2-0 and a commanding, early division lead any day.

Game plan to start the game was amazing. Team was clicking then stalled. It happens against good defenses. Now the defenses lighten up. Denver has a good defense but not as good as either chi or Minn.

This makes sense.

Basically on that 4th down that we didn't convert Rodgers thought we had the 1st down and were given a generous spot (he's right when the ref first signaled and started moving in, he was a half yard past the 1st down line which was an amazing spot because we weren't anywhere close to the 1st down.) Rodgers wanted to snap it quick so the booth wouldn't get a chance to review it.

Today was the loudest Lambeau I can remember in quite some time especially in the first quarter. It was rocking.

All that in spite of a lot of Viking fans.

Second half I get, but wire to wire? What didn’t you like about being up 21-0?
