Eagles Lead Up (TNF)
Quick turnaround to play a 1-2 Eagles team that just lost at home to Detroit.

Broncos and Vikings have created a blueprint to put up yards on the Packers. Run plays near Blake Martinez.

Sucks they lost today. They will pull out all the stops to not lose 3 in a row.

Definitely need to look at ILB in next year's draft. Probably the only major weak point right now

Re: Eagles Lead Up (TNF)
We get a huge advantage playing from home on Thursday after a home game. Schedulers doing us a minor favor. I am not looking forward to Darren Sproles vs. Martinez in coverage.

What's the latest on R. Gary? I think he had a calf cramp... Did he get back into the game. Also, were there any other injury concerns?

Calf cramp, came back. Got a sack. Got another pressure on top of that I believe.

Eagles have started all of their games slow, Packers started most pretty well. The offense figuring stuff out in the 2nd half is gonna be crucial if they start well again to avoid the comeback.

I pegged this as a loss before the season started. Eagles don't look that good though.

I'd like to see Kumerow get a shot. He wasn't even active today.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't think it's so much Martinez, when you play 5+ DBs every play teams will have the opportunity to grind out yards on the ground. I don't mind the trade off because most teams aren't patient enough to stick to it and also you have to covert a bunch of 3rd downs.Balls2TheWalls wrote:Broncos and Vikings have created a blueprint to put up yards on the Packers. Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Are the Eagles any good? 1-2 doesn't say much.

Yep I think pettine was talking about their defensive philosophy this week by stating it's easier to fly than to run. Basically indicating the defense wants the teams to run as it takes more plays to score than through the air via deep ball. Plus the packers strength is edge rush and secondary.
I like what i see from the defense. They used to make kirk and Flacco look like pro bowlers.
Eagles are down a lot of weapons. Packers need to play a full game as they're going to get the eagles best shot.

He was out with a shoulder injury. I, too, would like to see him more involved

I'd like to see Shepherd get more reps before Kumerow. Between him, Geronimo, and the TE's, we have a redundancy of big, possession guys that lack quick burst or great deep speed.

Re: Eagles Lead Up (TNF)
Geronimo and the TE's haven't provided much help so far, and the offence, in general, is sputtering, so why not try Shepherd?
