GT: Northwestern @ Wisconsin

Absolutely inexcusable special teams penalty giving Northwestern some life instead of us having the ball in NW territory.

It was also almost impossible to commit that penalty before the punt so it's actually impressive that he pulled that off.

Lots of checkdowns going nowhere in passing game right now.

Might be time to start taking some shots down the field to Cephus. They're all over the slants and quick checkdowns.

Do people really not put any stock in class ranking, he’s one of the most highly touted recruits in the country(2nd QB in class), Coan is Matt Flynn to Mertzs Rodgers.

Coan was actually 13th QB in his class, not bad.... either way start throwing it downfield ffs.

You only have to look at the guy playing QB for Northwestern to see how foolish it is to base everything off recruiting rankings.

It feels like these game against Northwestern take place in a bizarro universe. Game changed dramatically on that fluky hands to the face to give N'Western an extra possession. Since then UW is getting blown up on the LOS, have been conservative on later downs, with some iffy play calling on earlier ones, and unimaginative overall.

Maybe you should start covering the receiver at the first down marker? Just an idea.

He down 4 vs #8 team on the road vs #1 D in country with an unranked team.
Looking as good or better than Coan so far.

NW showing us that it is possible to throw a pass longer than 4 yards.

Happened on back to back 3rd and longs. Take a stand right before the marker, as their receiver is stopping just beyond it.
