Am I being dramatic for saying this is the worst WR group in the NFL?

Even with #17 healthy... there's nothing else behind him. Shepherd is awful... they should have kept Davis.

Never replaced Cobb in the offseason.

Never replaced Jordy in the 2018 offseason.

It is infuriating that Aaron's later years are going to be plagued with terrible weapons. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

They can get by VS the raiders this week but they need an upgrade if they want to be considered a contender

Pipe dream, but Corey Davis from the Titans. I think he can be a really good WR with an actual QB. Don't know if it makes sense for the Titans to give up on him though

Oh, and there was a rumor OJ Howard was on the trade block. I'd be interested

It's really a mediocre bunch to begin with. And now with #17 out, it's actually really bad.

How many dropped passes tonight?

We definitely need an Andre Rison situation, I'd say AB, but he's not just a bad moon rising WR diva, he might have done some horrific things, so that's not going to work.

Gute might need to bail us out with something, instead of hoping a talented WR just gets cut midway through the season.

If the Pats dropped him its clear he did do some horrific things and they wanted to separate themselves from it before it comes to light

That’s possible but it’s also possible it was just the pure volume of **** and baggage that comes with him that they didn’t want to deal with and if they can’t bottle it up, no team can.

I don't know why the Jets would give up on him now - even at 1-4 - with Darnold just coming back, but I'd certainly put a call in for Robby Anderson to see if there's anything there.

The Bengals can say whatever they want, but if they play that card, they're going to risk losing him for just a compensatory pick in the offseason.

Parker or Sanu would be massive upgrades from everyone else not named Davante on this team. I really think this team is just a second WR away from being a legitimate threat to win it all this year. Hopefully Gutekunst agrees and pulls the trigger on a move.

Yes. Let's not act like 3 of our Top-4 WR's on the depth chart coming into the season now being down with injuries (DaVante, Allison, EQ) isn't dramatically influencing this debate. If I'm for the Packers going out and acquiring a WR, it's because we can't go into a game with only 3-4 healthy wideouts and the offense needs some more speed at the position, not because we need some 32-year old veteran presence there.

I'm glad Lazard is getting his chance. I always thought he was a 3rd round kind of talent.

Given that lucky win and Lazard's emergence, they might be able to play hardball and ride it out near the deadline. Still probably need another guy/a vet, but they could lowball teams for it. Had we lost this one I'd be getting a bit desperate.

For years Tom Brady has won Superbowls with some pretty average and/or young WRs. If Rodgers is that good, he should be able to do the same. However, I wouldn’t mind a vet....especially if they can return kicks. I would call Dallas about Cobb. They already paid him most of his salary and we still saved millions. Trade them the Oakland pick we got for Davis.

I don't know if he's got the deep speed but when you have his kind of size it's obviously less important. I love his competitiveness. Definitely raise my eyebrows whenever I see a WR hit the truck button.
