That's cool. I'll take Courtland Sutton instead.

I'm kidding. I mean I'm most definitely not, but you know what I mean.

Surprised that more people aren't excited about the Grant signing. He's started 17 games in the last two seasons and it's not like he's some old, washed dude or not-nearly-as-good-as-his-draft-position-suggests young guy (*cough* Devante Parker *cough*). I think he's more than just a stopgap and I'm kinda amazed that we were able to just pluck him off the street.

He's only had one season in his career with more than 40 catches or 500 yards. He's not good. He's a body. He's a replacement-level WR.

With all of the injuries, it's fine to bring him in. But it's nothing to get excited about, IMO.

I'd still like to go get someone, but when healthy:

Adams
Lazard
MVS
Grant
Allison

Probably can get you by. Of course everyone has to be healthy but that's passable. Grant bumps Allison down a rung in some cases and it seems like Kumerow and Shepherd cannot cut it in the NFL so they become not necessary.

Would still like to go get someone like Sanders, regardless.

The Raiders run a hybrid West Coast offense similar to ours and he's a good route runner who plays faster than his 40 time (4.6). He's a better fit for this offense than a lot of the names I've seen thrown around here. If fans are still waiting for a big splash type move for a name guy then I think there's a pretty good chance that a lot of people are going to be disappointed.

Yeah I'm obviously not buying Super Bowl tickets with Grant but he's an OK #4 WR. He had some decent years with Cousins and Luck recently.

If Keenan Allen can be had it's a no brainier. I would have no problem giving up a 1st for him. Hell I would even tack on a 5th. Not only is he a top ten WR but his fit is flawless. He has the ability to take the top off the defense. He also is extremely shifty and can work the middle of the field. With DA being the sure handed elite possession WR who can make the contested catches in the red zone. KA can be the deep threat burner who can also work the slot. Offer a 2nd and MVS and see if they bite. I am saying this as one of MVS biggest believers. Think he can eventually be pre injury Javon Walker.
Bucks fandom bringing me happiness still seems like a dream.

Man, I'm excited about seeing Lazard start. The guy probably hasn't even practiced with Rodgers since preseason. Imagine what he'll look like with a full week of practice with the starters.

Probably a #6 WR in a role he isnt ready for.

Lazard came up big last week but lets temper expectations based on 4 catches

I think he's ready, so is Kumerow. On one replay Kumerow was wide open on a corner route, nobody within 5 yards of him.
Rodgers just needs to trust these guys. Rather see them playing than Geronimo.

Packer fans and their love affair for UDFA/JAG receivers will always make me chuckle. The Kumerow hype might be the most misplaced since Janis.

Broncos are now open to offers for Emmanuel Sanders per ESPN. I'd go up to a 2nd IDGAF, go all in.

I am not giving up a 2nd for a 32yo WR.

Unfortunately, with the number of teams likely in the market for a receiver, it could drive up his price. If it goes north of a 3rd I'd hope we hang up.

Usain Bolt interested in playing for the Packers. He can't be worst than Shepherd. I say give it a try.

33-year old who's never played football at any level in his life wants to play NFL football? Yeah, I'll pass.

Return to Green Bay Packers
