Chiefs Lead Up (SNF) - Mahomes Ruled Out

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Sun Oct 20, 2019 11:08 pm

Who knows if Mahomes will be ready. Either way, this isn't going to be an easy game, but it's more winnable without Mahomes than it is with him.

Rapaport said he'd be out 3-5 weeks, but I wouldn't be surprised if Reid was playing possum a bit.

They're not going to put their franchise QB in a game a week after he dislocated his knee. That would be damn near criminal.

No way Pat is playing.

Chiefs still have a bunch of weapons and our secondary playing like trash giving up big plays is a huge problem. Savage probably won't play this week but the middle of the field is WIDE OPEN... and the ILBs can't cover. It's like we have Dom again!

I agree that they shouldn't, but I also think it's criminal they put him out there with a bum ankle that he was clearly limping on, and had him run a QB sneak off of it that led to this injury.

Chiefs opened as 4 point favorites, it's now Pack by 3.

This should be a win. Don't care that they still have weapons and they're a tough team at home blah blah blah. A Matt Moore led football team shouldn't beat you.

I get the over confidence thing and the Arrowhead thing, but it's Matt Moore. I think I'm betting the house.

If KC can run the ball, play good D, and just have Moore game-manage/run a short passing game, they can absolutely win at home.

He’ll definitely have a scheme ready thats “bad QB friendly”. Short passing game etc.

There's a pretty big difference between sprained ankle and dislocated knee.

QB sneaks are one of the safest plays

I know KC has lost a couple at home this year, as favorites, but historically they've been a great bet as a home dog.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm a little concerned with our defense being exploited with the dink & dunk crap that the Raiders did yesterday. The Eagles basically did the same thing too when they had to pass. No doubt KC is going to do that with a backup QB on Sunday night too.

The Chiefs defense is still terrible, so the offense should be able to move the ball at will. Hopefully #17 can go, but I'm guessing they're going to hold him out until the Carolina game. Just win.

Press coverage on the outside and blitz like crazy. Force them to use Kelce as a chip blocker before he gets off the line and all you really gotta worry about is Tyreek getting loose. This should be a double digit victory. KCs D is overrated imo.
