ATL - Week 9/Trade Deadline Has Passed

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Oct 28, 2019 4:53 pm

I know there's still one game left in week 8 but come on...

And the trade deadline is tomorrow, which usually isn't a big deal in the NFL but trade activity so far has been big. And we know the Packers are sniffing around some deals.

Williams from Jets to Giants this morning.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Demaryius Thomas has been good for 4/5 catches and 50/60 yards every week. If the Jets are selling, he should be a target.

Long term Robby Anderson would be better.

He's a free agent after this season.

They didn't resign him at the end of the season. They agreed to an extension on the same day as the trade.

Some rumblings about the Packers looking at Derek Wolfe DE from the Broncos. He is an expiring and a good run defender.

They just announced Flacco will not play next week and might go on season-ending IR with a herniated disc.

The problem is that the Packers and this player would need to be in the same page for a contract next season, if the player wants 10M and Packers is only willing to pay 8M for that position, probably he won't be re-signed and we would lose an asset for nothing (or a SB lol).

I'd still like to add more talent on the offensive side of the ball and an ILB if possible.

I'm still hoping optimistically that the Bengals come to their senses and deal us Green tomorrow.

Instead of trading for an ILB I'd like to see them try burkes instead of Martinez on obvious passing downs. Not sure trading for one really makes sense because they only play 2 ILBs like 8 snaps a game. The really good ones who are great against the run and pass are hard to find and not exactly on the trade market.

These Peyton's places bits look so incredibly stupid. Who is out there craving this god awful content? It's as bad as the terrible pregame shows. "He's got a high Q score...the audience loves him".

In any case if Gute does make a trade it should be for an ILB. Easier position to plug and play to a level that makes an impact. OJ Howard would be the second priority but WR at this point unless you're mortgaging the future for a guy he probably is going to be able to make a big enough impact this year at this point to make it worth while

So glad the Packers aren't a dumpster fire like some of these organizations.

With Campbell and Jace coming back, pack will need to release two players... Wonder if Packers try to get a pick for someone maybe Jackson?

Apparently they want to trade Jamal Adams too. I cannot believe how stupid that would be. And I'm gonna be pissed if they send him to an NFC team
