Who do you defer to when deciding what mayo to put on a chicken sandwich?

Oh, Mayo Clinic, for sure.

Liability, and making sure they have their ducks in a row so that when athletes start having myocardial problems that B10 isn't a party at fault.

No doubt, they want the money. They also don't want to lose said money in the future. I do not think - nor did I ever - that B10 was acting with any more altruism than any other conference. It just looks that way.

I'm curious as to how liability might work with that.

I don't doubt that maybe one player or something in the BIG may have myocarditis by the end of the year.

What did we do before when this was a risk from the flu or common cold in team congregation? The campuses have made these players come to school already and live in dorms, etc...it will be very hard to prove that they contracted COVID during team activities, even if there is a fairly obvious outbreak within a team.

Obviously there is a tiny bit "more" risk here than those other infections, but I would guess that legally, a school would argue that these players have always been at such risk.

Granted, with how public this is being made and the fact that we are trying to slow the pandemic, maybe it will be a thing, I don't know. There have been hundreds of cases of players that were doing workouts with BIG teams and practices for games in the SEC, etc. and as far as I know, no litigation so far.

Given that this year isn't costing anyone eligibility...I wonder if Mertz will see a good deal of snaps, unless UW is charging for an undefeated season.

I’m just excited to read Lippo’s takes on the qb position.

I'm guessing that he will, looking forward to seeing what he can do.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

He's going to keep begging for Mertz. Mertz will start eventually and won't live up to his insane expectations and then he'll call for the highest ranked recruit we have to start over Mertz. That will continue for years.

I think that's from the start of COVID, not active cases.

I'm guessing that many of these positive tests occurred recently with the return of students to campus.

They've had positives coming back as early as late June/early July.

I'll be interested to see how people that are case-counting among the zero-risk population handle this 1, 2, 5 years down the road when the vaccine is here but still, as basically everyone has downplayed, not effective enough to stop most people from eventually getting it.

I understand the concern from the standpoint of the BIG trying to squeak this season in, but in a very **** way, it's better that most schools are "getting it out of the way early."

Not to mention how many people won't even get the vaccine.

Flew under the radar but Braelon Allen reclassifying to 2021 is pretty big. Their best recruiting class ever just got another gem.

If we get a better recruit than Mertz, maybe... but he’d be top 5 in the country then, better play him...

I like Houston over Stave, I liked anyone over noodle Horni...

Mertz will be our best QB since Wilson...

When were the players tested and what was the situation before announcing the games? Did they get it from being on each other or campus parties?

I don't know enough about the situation but this kind of reads like "X number of players test positive at first day of bubble." It sounds bad but it could mean just the opposite. Players might actually be safer hanging out with the team who should be tested regular instead of going out into an uncontrolled environment. I don't know much about the Big Tens plan, though.
