As a Packers owner I voted no.

I'd be interested in seeing who voted yes/no for the owners . The NFLPA executive committee voted 6-5 against.

Wow, twitter is full of clueless morons. Aaron puts out a really nice comprehensive statement and an idiot posts "why can't your old body take another game of being sacked? " Another says go fix the D? Just unreal the lack of intelligence.

Hard no from me on a 17th game. Purely a money grab by the owners. Just going to be more injuries. The extra playoff seed doesn't seem bad. Rewards the #1 more. Also, it seems like a team that gets hot at the end of the season misses out. Be good to get that team in. Be happy to trade the extra playoff game for a worthless preseason game, 3 is more than enough.

It's always a toxic mix of people who will hate on Rodgers no matter what because he's a QB on a team other than their own, and people who always side with ownership in CBA negotiations no matter how stupid some of the proposed provisions may be.

The players putting their voices out there is important to counter the narratives being pushed by the NFL and their PR lackies in the media (i.e. Schefter, Rapaport, etc). But you absolutely have to be able to ignore the replies from the idiots. Some are good at doing so. Others (Kevin Durant) are not.

I wonder how much support NFL would lose with a work stoppage. I've been watching less football because of the concussion stuff and if suddenly my Sundays are free again I might not look back (unless godgers comes back then I'm all in sadly.(

Belicheck loves Jimmy and would probably rather have him than some other QB.

49ers get 2-3 years at a "superbowl" run before starting over probably anyway with a new guy. I know Jimmy got them there but who knows if it will continue.

I've increasingly gotten sick of Al Michaels over the years, but NBC does have Tirico to step in if Michaels leaves SNF.

I'm actually not sure whether there is a PBP guy doing network NFL games that I actually enjoy listening to.

For me, most of the TV guys talk too much. They talk as much, if not more than radio guys do - but the radio guys have a reason for continuous talk. Too many of the TV commentators, color and play-by-play seem to believe they're why people are tuning in.

I still prefer watching the Packer games on mute and listening to Laravee, Rock, and Kuhn on the radio. They're homers, but there's plenty of content there. I'll often watch other teams games on mute, only popping the sound back on for a specific explanation or clarification. Romo, I can listen to, Collinsworth as well (though I'm in the minority with that opinion on this site :lol:
