XFL Thread
I don't know if anyone will really be paying attention, but I'm taking a wait-and-see on it. The ESPN production value helps. There are only 8 teams.
It's weird to see Bob Stoops coaching after quitting Oklahoma. If he wanted a coaching job, he could have certainly found one in college or in the NFL, even.

I like to rag on Vince as much as anyone, but I've actually been enjoying it so far.

If they want to maximize credibility, they need to change these team names. They all sound like biker gangs.

Pat McAfee is fun to have on the sidelines.

The one thing I liked is you can hear the conversation during replays
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

That was my favorite thing this weekend. Pat McAfee interviewed a special teams player right after he inexplicably knocked a ball into the endzone when he could have just downed it at the 1. The ST said that he thought the returner touched it, so he was trying to score a TD. He was not happy to be interviewed at that moment.

Winston Moss' team fired their DC and got rid of one of their team captains after 1 game.

I thought the games were pretty entertaining, I can see how people really get into it when they have a hometown team.

I'm rolling with Tampa Bay, just because of their colors. But Trestman/Murray was a big ol' yikes on Sunday.

Which makes me wonder why they put 7 of 8 teams in cities that already have NFL teams.

Greg Olsen is reminding me of Tony Romo on commentary. I like him.

If I was younger without kids and more time I'd probably watch.
Doubt it happens but it would be great if the NFL could come to an agreement with the XFL where they could send some end of the roster or practice squad players. Those guys could really use live game reps for development especially olineman who never are even active on game day. Heck even QBs, Id actually tune in if Boyle was playing. It would also improve the quality of play in the XFL with better talent.

I catch a couple of games when I can. "My" Houston team looking good I guess. Decided they were my team based on first game I watched and they were winning.
