Overview
Four-year starter who has the ability to assimilate into a variety of schemes but is unlikely to stand out in any particular one. His strong, accurate hands and determined effort are his calling cards and he's been able to hang in against a series of big, talented interior linemen over the years. He lacks power and mass, which could hurt his chances with teams who play against odd-front defenses, but he's a steady performer who could offer late-round value as a backup.

Strengths
Durable four-year starter
Hard worker with a non-stop engine
Plays with poise and confidence against bigger men
Quick, upward strike hits the bullseye with initial punch
Strong hand grip promotes added stickiness against late shed attempts
Works well with guards in double teams
Adequate movement talent to fit into zone scheme
Has footwork and balance to sustain move blocks
Uses hip/ankle flexion to sink and slow pocket push

Weaknesses
Lacks desired density and natural girth in lower body
Despite his technique, will struggle to stalemate forceful two-gappers
Needs help to create movement at point of attacks
Snap to step quickness just average
Could struggle to keep upfield rushers out of the A-gap off the snap
Snap consistency has plagued him
Too many ground-ball snaps in 2018 and pop flies in 2019

I don't think we plan on bringing all of Kenny Clark, Bhak and Linsley back next year, never mind Aaron Jones and maybe Kevin King will need extensions as well.

I like that we are building some OL depth, Quality through Quantity. Let's see who emerges.

Yeah the point was we aren’t bringing ALL of our FA back. Most notably I am guessing Linsley and maybe Jones are odd guys out

Most likely scenario is Lucas Patrick (who's a pretty competent player) takes over for Lindsey in a year and someone like this slides into Patricks top backup spot.

Reality with late drafted lineman is you take some every year and hope a small percentage develop into something.

Hanson (6-4 ½, 306) probably would have been selected higher with a better 40 time. He ran just 5.45, which pales in comparison to the 5.07 that Corey Linsley (6-2 ½, 299) ran in 2014 before being drafted by Green Bay in the fifth round.

At the combine, he pulled up after his first 40 with a hamstring injury and had to call it a day.
