2020 Fantasy Football

I know its early but i recently had someone propose a trade to me. First I'm a huge Packer fan. But i said no to this immediately.

Derrick Henry (my player)
For
Aaron Jones

Its a dynasty league but i told him i thought AJ Dillion would take goaline touches away from Jones. Henry's plain and simple is going to get the ball.

Wasnt a tough choice for me. Feel free to share your thoughts.

I thought this was going to be a thread that playing football this season will be a fantasy.

Good decision. Even if Jones did get the touches at the goaline, he is due for an injury this year. He seems fairly brittle.

That list is horrible in my amateur dynasty scouting opinion. Vaughn that high for example? Akers at 3!?

But also depends on your league. (1 or 2 qb, ppr, superflex? Etc)

Top 6 for me in 1 qb, ppr

Taylor
CEH
Dobbins
Lamb
Jeudy
Swift

Did a draft last night. Had the 4th pick. 10 team ppr.

My team.

1. Derrick Henry
2. Josh Jacobs
3. Mike Evans
4.Odell Beckham Jr.
5. Zach Ertz
6. Hollywood Brown
7. Raheem Mostert
8. Terry McLaurin
9. JK Dobbins
10. Matt Breida
11. Christian Kirk
12. Aaron Rodgers
13. Justin Jefferson
14. Mike Gesicki
15. Tampa D
16. Y. Koo

I’d love to hear some feedback, positive/negative whatever. I’m very indifferent tbh, things I like and dislike... I thought I’d be thrilled with Rodgers in the 12th round but all the negativity in the fantasy world makes me nervous. I took Henry 4th because I just simply like him more as a player than Kamara or Cook. I figured after CMC, Saquan and Zeke, King Henry couldn’t be overlooked. It’s probably risky, especially in a ppr league but I just decided to go with “my guy”. Thoughts??

I don’t want to be a dick, but not a huge fan. Obviously Henry in ppr is a bit tough, I have serious concerns about Brady having the arm strength to make Evans the guy in Tampa, prefer Godwin who is running the Fitzgerald routes In Arians offense, much lower depth of target.

Like the picks in 9,10,13. Not sure which guy will pop but one of three I think could be a league winner at the end of the season.

I have the fourth pick in a ppr 12 and doing a ton of mocks. I'm leaning Michael Thomas or one of zeke/saquan/Kamara. But when mocking almost all rbs have been taken before it gets back to me.

Ertz in the 5th is a great pick. I like the wrs as well.

Yeah I have similar feelings. Godwin was drafted before I took Evans so I didn’t exactly have my choice between the 2. I worry about target shares but Evans has basically been a top tier red zone target his entire career and I expect Brady to take full advantage of that. I kept reading things about Henry working extra hard about being an every down back and getting better in the passing game so I bit on it, mainly because I’m just a huge fan of his. If he can have closer to 40 catches opposed to his usual 18ish, he could push 2k total yards with his volume. Idk, you’re right tho and not dick-ish at all. I wanted DK Metcalf but he went 2 picks before I took Beckham. 1 of my least favorite picks but you know, like any typical fantasy football fan you see the Odell highlight tapes from TC and get a hard on. I basically just fell for the typical traps as the board fell, believe it or not the only picks I genuinely got excited about were Henry and Jacobs. Outside of that, I was pretty disappointed I couldn’t get the players I preferred.

Would you be able to tell me more about it? I may be interested or maybe know others who could be as well.

What’s the buy in? Are you starting fresh, who a whole draft? Rookie picks? Etc

If Mixon got a 4/48, all of you in dynasty leagues better have AJ Dillon firmly on your radar. I think the market just got set out of our range for Jones.

We finished our draft last night. 10-team PPR. I went a little heavy on Rookies lol. Also, want to move Mike Evans for a better PPR fit. I worry he's going to be the forgotten receiver. I put out a few offers for Davante, Godwin, Robinson/Kupp

QB Kyler Murray
RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
RB Aaron Jones
WR Mike Evans
WR AJ Brown
WR/TE Henry Ruggs III
TE Evan Engram
FLEX Antonio Gibson
D/ST Pittsburgh
K Zane Gonzalez

BE Raheem Mostert
BE Marlon Mack
BE CeeDee Lamb
BE Noah Fant
BE Matthew Stafford
BE Jalen Reagor
BE Van Jefferson

Debating between Sutton or Fuller for my flex play this week. Thinking Fuller based in it being a natchup versus KC but but I do expect big things from Sutton this year so im not sure

Did my draft last night, feel great at WR, good at QB, TE (and K + D/ST) and questionable at RB. We're a one player keeper where you can keep anyone for two rounds higher than where you drafted them last year, I got Hollywood Brown in the 17th last year, so he was fantastic value as my 15th rounder.

12 team, PPR

QB - Rodgers
RB - Todd Gurley
RB - Devin Singletary
WR - Michael Thomas (5th overall, Kamara was a keeper)
WR - OBJ
WR - Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown
TE - Zach Ertz
Flex - Will Fuller
K - Harrison Butker (KC)
D/ST - Pittsburgh

Bench-
RB - Jordan Howard
RB - Chris Thompson
RB - Jamaal Williams
WR - Henry Ruggs
WR - Breshad Perriman
WR - Chase Claypool
WR - MVS
TE - Jared Cook

Have a trade question:

I'd be receiving Terry McClauren, Marquise Brown and Darrell Williams (I own CEH) and I'd be giving up Mike Evans and Marlon Mack (He has taylor as a handcuff). League is full PPR. I'm leaning towards taking it because I don't know if I like Evans as much in Tampa now. Sounds like guys like Scotty Miller and Godwin are going looking good with Tom.

10 Team PPR

QB: Murray / Wentz
RB: Chubb / Carson / Singletary / Michel / Damien Harris / Mattison / Joshua Kelley
WR: Adams / OBJ / Hollywood Brown / Diontae Johnson / Mecole Hardman / Jalen Reagor
TE: Waller
K: Blankenship
DEF: PHI (vs. Was week 1, I stream)

Few things of note:
I think OBJ pays off this year in a big way with regards to where he was drafted. Not many guys have bonafide top 5 overall upside like he does where he's drafted.

Singletary makes me nervous, just love the talent.

Think New England relies HEAVILY on the run this season which is why I wanted the lions share of that backfield which is why I covered myself between Michel and Harris.

Hollywood Brown is a potential league winner imo. Johnson offers a ton of upside as the No. 2 in Pittsburgh. Obviously Reagor is very interesting as the 1 for Wentz.

Waiver Wire guys I'll be keeping an eye on:
Baker Mayfield
Justin Jackson
Benny Snell
Bryce Love
John Ross
MVS
Bryan Edwards
Chris Herndon
Jonnu Smith

Scotty Miller is NOT a guy that would worry me if I'm a Mike Evans owner. Scotty Miller can be a camp darling all he wants, but he'll be competing for the underneath targets with the likes of Gronk, Howard, and Brate. I think it unwise to deal a top 20 guy in PPR formats for a couple of guys in the top 50.

That's fair. Do you worry about his injury status at all? Hamstrings are always scary.
