Game 2: Lions at Packers - Noon - Fox

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Sep 20, 2020 1:12 pm

Hope this is the last game with Greg Jennings but I doubt it.

Clete Blakeman is the ref

Last year we beat the Lions twice on game ending FG's after not leading for one second in either game.

GO PACK GO.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't think this will be a blowout. We suck at stopping the run, and they have competent running backs. Can see a lot of dink and dunk to Johnson and Hoeckenson.

What's the hot take on this year's Lion's defense?

I think this should be an easy-ish win but I thought that about last year's games.

Seems like the Packers should definitely cover -6.5 which means I’m going Lions +6.5.

Favre is a sucker for a free tshirt and bag of chips.

He also did like that Tampa Bay rivalry.

I really want to see the offense continue to make strides and take off (Captain Obvious statement of the year?). It obviously always starts with Rodgers being Godgers or even just Aaron Rodgers but other things I'll be watching closely.

-MLF, I love the diversity of sets and creativity they showed last week and want to see more of it. Really hoping the year 2 in the system leap is a thing here.

-WR, MVS specifically. He's so gifted with his size/speed ratio and should have legit opportunities all year with defenses having to pay attention to Davante. I think Lazard steps up as a legit second guy and if MVS can catch the ball he could be a real weapon as well.

-RB, Jones is a stud. We know what we have in Williams, a steady guy who will pick up blitzes. Ideally in my eyes, Dillon becomes the real #2 (in time). Jones is the guy that can do it all and the clear #1. Ervin is a wild card gadget type. Williams can be a fantastic depth and dirty work guy like a Tony Fisher or Brandon Jackson. Dillon using his huge frame to wear down and beat up defenses is early 2010 daffy duck gif material to me. I'd like to see 2 of the 4 on the field a bunch. That's a deep group and I hope they use them all.

Score is going to be somewhere between 120-104 and 12-4. Packers win.

Seems like a good idea to just not cover Hockenson and then not use your arms to try to get him down.

As bad as FA typically is, it's a little crazy that the Packers have picked up NFL DPOY type talents over the years. White, Woodson, and Smith have all been the best on that side of the ball.

Maybe we have worst defense in league again. That’s 4 straight TD with zero resistance. All these high picks and FA dollars spent and nothing to show.
