Packers/Steelers Leadup

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Sep 27, 2021 8:38 pm

Steelers have been pretty bad, Ben really bad. I'm assuming Watt plays. This is the first time Rodgers/Roethlisberger meet at Lambeau. The last time Pitt played here in 2013 Matt Flynn got the start for an injured Rodgers.

Pack favored by 7 in the opening line.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Steelers have a scary defense, more so than the 9ers imo.

But it's at home and their offense has been pretty bad

Should win but also feels like a game that could be uglier than expected if Rodgers and the offense aren't on their A game.

Pitt won in Buffalo so they can't be discounted. Early money is on Pitt. Line down to 6.5

Ben looks completely toast, so in theory our front-7 should be licking their chops. But the old adage of never trusting the Packers defense probably applies here. A touchdown sounds about right.

If we can run the ball even half-decently, then PIT is in trouble (Idk if we’ll be able to or not).

If we can’t, I could see this looking like the CAR game last year—still should win but could lose if PIT makes a play or two.

San Fran's physicality is the packers kryptonite. They were able to keep rodgers protected. Pittsburgh is just as physical. hopefully packers can get jenkins back. Defensively, the packers got pressure, and pittsburgh's o-line is really bad. Big Ben is a statue back there and routinely trips over his own feet.

I think the packers can put up 24-30 points on this defense at home. The issue is can the packers hold pittsburgh under 24...

Packers 27 - Steelers 24.

I'm not sure that San Francisco front was as formidable as we've come to know. They've been middling at best through three and that includes games vs the Lions and Philly. Pittsburgh is a different animal.

I still can't get over how monumentally stupid it was to bring King back. Not only is he still bad on the field, but he still can't remain healthy enough to consistently play. There had to have been a number of better FA CBs who could've been had for his salary.

Every single Green Bay Packers game should take place on a Sunday at noon without exception.

And that’s all I have to say about that.

I'm going Sunday and the late afternoon game is perfect. I'll get up there before noon and watch the early games. And going home the usual Sunday traffic from "up Nort" isn't as bad at 7:00 as it is at 3:30 when there's a noon game.

Nice. When I do go I go here(won’t be in the state this week). Can tailgate plus go inside & watch games.

Woof. Almost had a senior moment. Sitting in a pub in Hawaii. Looking up at the TV and seeing Packers n Steelers. Game clock is rolling, pack is kicking off... And then Crabtree made the tackle.

Fall games at Lambeau are the best.
