GT: Nebraska at Bucky - 2:30 - ABC

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sat Nov 20, 2021 5:21 pm

I've always hated Nebraska, way before they joined the B10.

Go Bucky
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I get why it's hard to turn around and look for the ball when you're badly beat, but Hicks wasn't even beat on the 2nd long pass and the only way it's a completion is if he doesn't turn around. :-?

Good game plan by Nebraska so far. Finally a team wise enough to attack our pitiful secondary

Hicks is having a bad game but I think Nelson is the weak link in coverage more often than not. Harder to pressure a guy like Martinez too. The whole defense is not playing up to their usual standards. Usually they don't start struggling until playing 70% of the second half because of Mertz turnovers.

Nebraska reminds me a little of Penn State, who isn't even that much better than them despite their record. Also, am I the only one who thinks these announcers are pretty good? Never even heard of them until today.

Haven't watched any of the game but offenses have success against us when they just chuck it deep. Our CBs are the weak point of our defense and panic every time there's a deep ball against them.

Good thing we played 5 yards off from the 5 yard line and allowed an easy slant for an easy TD.

Martinez has played great today. Even the interception looked more like the receiver's fault from my angle, as he should have easily been able to knock it down or even catch it before it got to Wilder. Their pass protection has been incredible too. Can't believe how many of their lineman are quick enough to stay in front of blitzing linebackers. They're a pretty good team from what I'm seeing, and could easily be 7-3 against one of the tougher schedules in the country.

Don't understand that for them. They don't even need the deep ball to move it downfield at will so why risk it? Wisconsin is somewhat susceptible to long completions but they also make their fair share of plays, so it's not like a typical mediocre UW secondary.
