Somehow Tua’s unfortunate circumstance of having a concussion problem is going to save Barry’s job. It makes sense in a way it would have been the first time all year the Packers made defensive adjustments mid game that worked. Tua being in a mental fog would make more sense. I feel horrible for Tua the guy needs to walk away at this point though or at minimum take the rest of the year off.

Barry is gone if we don't make the playoffs. One half of football against a team that might not even finish .500 doesn't save a guy's job.

Unless the defense does a complete turnaround, Barry better be gone even if we make the playoffs.

I'll go as far as to say short of a miraculous SB run, he better be gone. I think just about every sane Packer fan could probably coordinate the defense better than he has done since he's been the DC.

I agree, but unfortunately I think making the playoffs will be enough for Murph, Gute, MLF, etc. to justify maintaining the status quo.

Herb Kohl 2.0 (Settling for sorta adequate)

Agree he should be gone either way. It's not a Kohl situation though. Low seeds have a legit shot at a title in the NFL. Steelers in 2005 (6), Giants in 2007 (5), Packers in 2010 (6), Tampa 2 years ago (5). But yeah, if we manage to sneak in this year it should not validate bringing Barry back. Although I think he will be back either way.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

There’s about zero chance that Barry should return. And if he does LeFluer’s fate should be tied to his moving forward. That’s how painful obvious it is that Barry’s a terrible DC.

For me, the Kohl comparison, is LaFleur settling for the known mediocrity that is Barry, which smacks of Kohl-esque cronyism, rather than risk shooting for someone potentially better. It took the endless disasters of the previous years ST's, before they ponied up for Biassacia. The ST's and Biassacias roster management have had their ups and downs this season, but on the whole - especially the post-Amari games - has been pretty respectable.

Thank Barry and give him a one-way ticket to Maui after the last game. Hire Leohnard and he hires his own guys.

Via Packers.com:

The Green Bay Packers have placed DL Dean Lowry on injured reserve, signed WR Bo Melton to the active roster from the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad, and released LB Tipa Galeai (tee-puh nah-lee-eye) from injured reserve. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Tuesday.

And it's not Biassacia would turn things in just a few games. He brought some players that he trusted from the Raiders, but other players need to adjust to his ideas, etc, so it takes some time and now we are seeing the results.

I liked Bo Melton coming out as a returner last year. Cool to see what he can do with us.

Assuming Barry's gone, MLFs next DC better be an absolute homerun hire. Sure, he inherited Pettine, but that'd put MLF at like 4 coordinator hires in 5 seasons, which seems pretty crazy. Makes me wonder how much input MLF has on the defense. A little, a lot? Figure it out dude.

If Barry is gone I assume they offer Leonard again as he was their first choice.

Nothing that’s happened since would lead me to believe they wouldn’t still like him. He was put in a tough situation this season, but consistently had great attacking defenses at UW when there was talent on that side of the ball.

Basically it says that a QB doesn't matter that much, it's more about coaching style, offensive weapons and not having a clueless QB. I wonder if it wasn't coolhandluke121 who wrote it

Details on the Jenkins extension. 24 mil guarenteed, outs after the first 2 years. That 2026 season seems ripe for either Jenkins getting cut or re extended
