Looks good to me I'm guessing he's a day 1 starter at guard, who in the future could be the top tackle backup incase of injury.

Curious who they're going to move to RT though.

PFF Breakdown

Position rank 10, big board 90, shades of raw Braden Smith

Rhyan has been starting at left tackle for
the Bruins ever since he showed up to
campus. It didn't go so hot for him out the
gate with 37 pressures allowed that first
season, but he's seen marked improvement
in the two years since. You could even see it
from the first half of 2021 to the second
where his grade lept from 75.9 to 86.4. That's
the kind of trajectory you want to see
heading into the league.

PROS
Tremendous guard build. Massive lower half
and insanely large hands.
Ø Unloads into contact. The kind of guy that can
cave in his side of the line.
Ø Massive year-on-year progressions. Could even
see it week-to-week in 2021.

CONS
v So overly aggressive. Comes off the ball like a
defensive lineman at times.
v Footwork on baseblocks can get away from
him. Will bring his feet together.
v Very old for a true junior. Will turn 24 as a
rookie.

You see the rugby background with Rhyan on tape with how comfortable he is as a mover for a
massive man. He's got undersized lineman athleticism in a jumbo package.
NATURAL ATHLETICISM

He has the movement skills for tackle although not the length. It's worth starting him at tackle,
but more than likely he's a guard who can play tackle in a pinch.
GUARD WITH TACKLE VERATILITY

Rhyan has a bad habit of overshooting his target whether it's pass protection or in the run game.

Rhyan is still coming along technically and will have to kick into guard, but
the improvements he's already made give you hope.

May as well add "unloads into contact" if you're going that route. That's the best part.

Happy now? :naaa:

Yes, thank you. There are still several promising OL that are available.

Rhyan is actually a Welsh name. It's pronounced: Hawroofdiggity
