How fast is this Doubs guy? Can’t find a 40 time for him. Anyone watch him? What’s his play speed like? I like his size. Looks like he’s got decent feet as well. A “separator” if you will.

Man, between the Packers and the Bucks, we sure as hell can't complain about the GM for either team, good lord.

Looks like he’s got big hands as well, always a plus for a WR.

“Romeo is a classic example of a guy who has competitive speed,” Norvell said. “If you take him out on the track, his times probably aren’t that impressive. But if you put him on the football field, he only has one speed. That’s the way he practices every day. He just works so hard, and every great receiver I’ve been around, that’s the quality they have. They practice as hard as they play.
“I’m not comparing him to Jerry Rice, but that was one of the qualities that Jerry Rice had. He didn’t have an impressive 40 time, but on the field nobody ever caught him, and he ran away from people. I think that’s a great quality Romeo has, and on game day he just seems faster than he does when you time him on a track.”
Scott said that might be downplaying Doubs’ speed as he’s consistently recorded a 4.4-second 40-yard dash, which is an above-average time for an NFL receiver. But it’s not the athleticism that endears Doubs to his team. It’s the person he is, his humble nature, his selfless attitude.“
Yes please.

PFF Breakdown
Position rank 16, big board 100, shades of Marvin Jones
Doubs has been featured in the Nevada
offense ever since he was a freshman in
2018, but his production didn't take off until
quarterback Carson Strong did. He went
from primarily a deep threat in 2020 to more
of a well-rounded focal point of the offense
in 2021. Despite his size, Doubs has struggled
at the catch point, going only 28-for-68 on
contested catches throughout his career.
Hands haven't really been an issue for him
otherwise — 5.8% career drop rate
PROS
Ø Long-strider who can cook when he gets
going. He is a real-deal deep threat.
Ø Tremendous feet and balance. Probably runs a
mean ladder drill.
Ø Employs a gorgeous shimmy release. Works it
to both sides.
CONS
v Not an enforcer despite size. Middling
contested-catch numbers over career.
v Ran hot and cold this past season. Not a
consistent weekly focal point of the offense.
v Can get caught playing high. Has the ability to
sink but can get lackadaisical.
After playing primarily as a deep threat in 2020, Doubs showed he could win all over the field this
past season.
BUILD UP SPEED
Doubs doesn't really have any physical limitations that stop him from playing the X role in the
league as he did in college. The question is simply, can he deal with the bump in physicality?
RANGEY DOWNFIELD THREAT
Doubs has to be better at the catch point. He should have been Mossing corners left and right,
considering who he was playing. It's only going to get harder at the next level.
Doubs has a lot of traits you look for in a receiver, but it remains to be seen
if his trump-card downfield ability will translate against better competition.
