Not sure why the rush to give Leonhard the job immediately it’s more important to get it right than to rush to save a couple of recruits.

I would say it's to keep the guys you have, but without a QB next season I don't think it matters whether Allen, Nelson, or Herbig stick around.

3. Clear to see now why Mertz has had a never-ending leach. Wolf couldn't throw the ball in the right zip code trying to hit the end zone at the end there. Just godawful throws.
4. How do you give Leonard the job tomorrow? I don't mean about him being the coach here in general, but how could we have set ourselves up for this possibility - giving him the job after such an awful team performance? Again, they should have posted the job a month ago and given him the job 3 weeks ago. Now I feel like they "should" wait to let the air clear a bit, because we've set up a never ending string of **** -on-him takes for being given the job after such an awful performance. But we also "need" to give him the job to stop the bleeding. Just an unmitigated, total mess.
