Musgrave talks about loving downhill ski racing. That can cause a lot of peril for your knees. Hopefully the pro contract prohibits that going forward.

Musgrave was TE1 before the season. His injury is the only reason he's around for GB. I'm kinda shocked he was on the GB board.

He needs to stop leaving his feet every time he catches the ball. Too many highlights of him landing and losing his balance.

I agree. Seems the first tackler easily brought him down on literally every single catch I saw in highlights, too. Plenty nimble though, and he'll stretch the field with his speed. I see about 80% pre-injury Tonyan and 20% Jordy, which I think is a compliment for a 2nd-round TE.

Musgrave was the hardest TE for me to rank. His variance is so high, I could see him being a top 5 TE in the NFL or I could see him completely busting. Will be fascinating to see how he turns out but I'm pretty happy with the pick. Much prefer Musgrave in the 2nd as opposed to Mayer/Kincaid in the 1st

I think an interesting story line will be the dynamic of how TE coach Dunn works with Musgrave and Kraft to fit their respective skills to the Packer offense and the NFL game in general.

That set of developments, plus how Jordan Love works with the two. Fair or not, there's going to be an inevitable comparison of the differences in approach to recievers between Love and Rogers - two guys with very different personalities.

My goodness, why does he jump every time he catches the ball??? I could see him being really valuable but frankly way more impressed with Kraft. How is he always falling down as soon as he catches it?

It's almost laughable, like he's an excited puppy, but you'd think he can break the habit with even minimal coaching, and if he can't, defenders will eventually make him learn the hard way.

Green Bay has done a good job bringing in playmakers to help with Jordan Love's ascension. Musgrave is an uber-athletic, 6-6 tight end who could end up being Love's top target in Matt LaFleur's offense, thanks to his ability to separate and gain yards after the catch. In the run game, he'll aid Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon with his reliable blocking.

Watching a Love video going back to his early pre-season stuff. They were actually using Jace Sternberger in a lot of creative ways including out of the backfield and being a seem stretcher. Seems like that was their first attempt at finding a Musgrave. I think that one or both of these TEs could be a major piece of this offense this year. Pretty exciting time to see what we all have this season.

Kraft on the TE misdirection is going to be a thing of beauty to watch.

MLF used motion and misdirection extremely effectively in 2020 and 2021, creating a lot more easy, short passes with opportunities for a lot of yards after the catch. The regression in 2022 was baffling on all fronts, but I think Rodgers was a big part of the problem. He couldn't roll out of the pocket effectively and he missed a lot of easy throws. He also purportedly didn't like so much motion and misdirection. Suffice to say that I'm on board with the theory that Rodgers wasn't a team player on offense last year, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how everyone responds to his absence. I suspect that it will feel like I have my team back.
