Didn't study him but he's been Kiper's best available player for over an hour lol. Only 21 years old and a superb athlete and has plenty of Special teams snaps in his college career. For a 7th round pick seems like a solid grab

Bump. Looks like we got an absolute Oceans 11 level heist in 7th rd folks…extremely impressed with this kid. Mel Kiper was right! Now we just need to find a role for him to get him on the field.

I don't see him surpassing Jaire, Rusal or Nixon on the depth chart, but could definitely take Stokes's spot long-term. Wonder what we could get for Stokes.

I could see Valentine passing Nixon. Nixon is ok, he's fine, but if Valentine keeps playing they way he has so far then I don't think you block him with Keisean Nixon who isn't anything special.

I think too many of us are writing off Stokes. He was legitimately really good his rookie season and while it's true he took a step back last season before the injury he was still decent. I don't think you can have enough CBs and that position tends to get hurt alot so the more young depth the better

None of the corners looked all that good at the beginning of last year. Not Jaire, not Douglas, not Stokes. None!
At week 8 Jaire had 1 INT and 4 passes defended. Ended the season with 5 and 14. Rasul had 1 INT and 6 passes defended in week 10. And ended with 4 and 13.

Because of poor run defense and bad qbs the Packers defense had the fewest amount of passes thrown against them last season. If Gary can get back to normal the pass rush should be better. Major drop off after his injury last year.

You rank Nixon over Stokes? As a CB?

I see Stokes as exclusively a boundary CB. Nixon looks like he could be a very good slot corner, which is a skillset we need more than another boundary CB.

Now what's interesting is MLF alluding to potentially trying Rasul at safety, which would open up opportunities for both Stokes and Valentine.

Rasul has always reminded me a bit of Micah Hyde. Maybe he could make the switch to safety like Hyde and use his smarts and instincts to be a great player at the position.
