Finally a safety
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Hey cool a guy I actually know.

PFF's 90th overall player. Good developmental prospect.

Wasn't he projected to for the late 4th/5th?

This is great value for R7. Absolutely loving this draft for the most part

Similar to Tariq Carpenter last year.

Projected in midrounds and got him in the 7th. If either one of these dudes work out I will be happy....and I still have faith in Carpenter.

I'm excited about this pick. He's a very smart player, so I would not at all be shocked if he looks good right out of the gate. Film junkie and knows every position in the defensive backfield, making his switch from Corner to Safety much easier.

So that is Andy Herman, Ben Fennell and Bask that all have independently made the comment they won't be shocked if AJJ ends up the starting safety. Hmmm, that is intriguing. I can't recall a player the last couple of years where I have heard that about any 7th round picks.

If he starts, or is on the field for many snaps as a defender, I will happily eat my comments about using some combination of picks, especially the 7th rounders to move up - even a few spots in earlier rounds. I really do hope he succeeds.

Not a complete lock but I doubt he'd make it back to our practice squad, so Gute might choose to keep him on the 53 over a 3rd running back or guys at the end of the roster that are mostly special teamers.

He was our highest graded defensive player in the preseason opener by PFF and got some run with the 1s in practice. I'd say those things bode well for him.

Technically he was the 5th highest rated defender

Way too early but he seems to be off to a good start. At a position of need.

It would be amazing if the Packers got two quality future starters in the secondary in the 7th round.
