Might be better off bringing Crosby back this year and keeping Carlson on PS. Just can’t have this inconsistency in actual games.

They have to bring someone in next week. He's not some entrenched kicker having a few bad kicks. Gotta try out a few more legs

My takeaways from preseason game 1

Good: Carrington Valentine, Dontayvion Wicks, Jayden Reed, Emmanuel Wilson, Brenton Cox Jr.

Bad: Anders Carlson, Alex McGough, Patrick Taylor, Sean Rhyan

Up & down: Jordan Love, Sean Clifford

Other things I found interesting

Savage & Owens starting at Safety, followed by Tarvarius Moore, and then Rudy Ford & Dallin Leavitt

Runyan & Tom both getting snaps at center
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

As for Love specifically since he's everyone's focus.

He really only had one bad throw but it was pretty bad. But he made quick decisive reads and made quite a few good throws overall.

More positives than negatives overall

FWIW for those who didn't watch. Carrington Valentine wasn't just good, he was a revelation. He looks like he can contribute immediately.

That TD pass to Doubs was actually subpar.

Love floated it too much and needs to lead Doubs more toward the sidelines. There was so much space to use and he forced Doubs to make a contested catch. A better DB makes a play on that ball.

I'm not anti Love....just saying it could've been a better throw.

Just like he floated the long ball down the sideline and it put him in a risky position. Though I don't think the TD was subpar, Doubs was really the only guy who had a shot at catching that ball

They have been coaching Love to put more air under his deep throws. He probably needed to look the safety off longer.

I think Deguara is likely a lock to make the team

That and he had to get it more to the sideline. He brought the WR back toward the safety.

Love played well. Thought the deep ball was a good ball just a great play by the DB. Musgrave throw was bad.

Musgrave may lead the team in targets. He was beating cornerbacks with his speed. If he can catch it consistently he’s going to have a big rookie season.

Think the offense has a lot of potential but there will be growing pains.

Valentine was an absolute steal in the 7th.
