Bears Lead-Up - Watson OUT; Doubs Questionable

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Sep 3, 2023 2:04 pm

Bears have a legit receiver but they are not a good team.

We'll have ups and downs all season. No idea how we start the season.

Doubs is a key. If he doesn't practice Wednesday it's doubtful he plays Sunday.

Sounds like Gary will play limited snaps.

Line opened at Bears -3, now -1.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

How well does the D contain Fields on runs? That could be a key part of the outcome too. If his runs are just empty stats, then its just annoying. If his running sets up other parts of their offense, then that's a problem.

I have no idea what to expect but I am so stoked. Love the youth and athleticism on this team but that also comes with mistakes. The Bears are still a mess so I am hopeful we can keep with the series dominance.

Fields is really only a running threat and very slow to process the game in the passing game so let’s hope Barry knows that.

Fans generally want Barry to play a ton of man coverage but this is a game where Barry should predominantly call zone coverage to help prevent Fields running ability. Make him beat you throwing the ball

Big game for Walker. I doubt they straight up spy him on Fields but he's definitely the dude you need running Justin down when he goes.

Safeties also need to play well, that's obviously sketchy.

I wonder if we still own the bears.

I know I know we've all moved on from Rodgers, and I'm excited about love, but I would still like to see where does Rodgers rank Statswise vs all qbs who've played at soldier field.

meh he beat alot of **** bears teams. The bears are lucky the Raiders and Commanders are a thing or theyd take way more heat. Just an absolute dumpster fire of a franchise.

Team doesn't practice today so tomorrow is the key with Doubs. If he still isn't practicing it's highly unlikely he plays on Sunday. That would suck. He was healthy last year until the high ankle sprain against the Lions (he missed 4 games).

Chicago is awful. The hype surrounding them and Fields is nuts. GB wins by 10+ and sends Bear country into panic mode.

If he doesn't play, that Jayden Reed hype train is going to be bonkers. He's the most talented pure wide receiver we have, but Doubs being the safety blanket was going to be his hurdle in year 1. Remove that and we might be off to the races with him.

I'm not going to overreact to a loss to Chicago in week one, but I feel confident in saying it would mean the end of the season.

I’d blitz Walker every play he’s on the field. He’s a monster when he’s aggressive and a mouse when he sits back and waits. Dictate to Fields and rush him into mistakes.

I think the Packers front 7 mauls their offensive line. I'm not as sure about what happens with our offense with it being Love's first big game and on the road.

Honestly not sure what would be worse. Love somehow not carving up their garbage secondary, or the defense letting Fields run all over us. Neither should happen though. This Bears team, indeed, sucks.

Bears are favored last I looked so I'm not expecting a blowout but I do think we win a close one. I'll say 23-20

If Watson & Doubs both have to miss this game then I'm switching to picking the Bears
