Vikings Lead-up

Used to be a big game. Fun. A battle. This year not so much. Minny will be without Jefferson. Assuming they lose to the Niners tonight they'll be 2-5 and in the QB sweepstakes. I don't want to "tank" necessarily, as the youngest team in the league we need those guys to play so we can get an accurate measurement on them. Lots of players struggle early on, then figure it out. So play them and let's see what happens. Musgrave with his second concussion and may not play. Who knows what's going on with Jaire's back. Stokes appeared to get hurt (again) in his first game back.

Will the Packers finally enter a game as favorites? Thats my biggest question. I can't remember a team I root ever being underdogs in literally every game they play

Most of us essentially want them to "tank" at this point but it's pretty much impossible to actually tank in the NFL. Rest guys when they're hurt and sell off a couple vets before the trade deadline obviously, but you still need to see what most of these guys can do in a structured offense. Let Love sling it, preferably don't get him killed, and live with the results.

My brother and dad are viking fans so I have some extra hatred but can't lie a loss would be nice for both the Packs own pick and also for keeping Williams and May out of purple next season.
I'm sure during the actual game I'll root for the Pack, I just won't be upset if they lose.

Wish Jefferson was playing in this one.

Pack opens as 1.5 point favorites. They opened as favorites the last 2 games. But were dogs by gametime.

LVN played 16 snaps yesterday. He's one that needs to play more. I don't expect him to be lights out his first season but let's get him more experience so hopefully he can contribute next year.

I want the Vikings and the rest of the teams left on their schedule to blow them out. I knew they weren't any good from the start but the disgust I've felt since the Raiders game has been out of this world.
No more close losses, no more moral victories buying these cockroaches time and saving them from criticism and what better way to start than getting blown out at home to a probable 2-5 Vikings team without Jefferson. Hopefully the defense holds up at least a few more weeks to further showcase who the real problems are just to totally snowball before the end of the season to make sure everyone gets fired.
Completely clean house including that alcoholic looking moron Murphy who doesn't deserve to retire on his own terms, make sure to hire people outside of the organization and start over.

We have the script
Packers will not do a damn thing in the 1st half. Vikings will go up 10-0.
Then the Packers will come out and score two TDs and move the rock. It'll be 14-10 going into the 4th.
Cousins will engineer a drive to re-take the lead.
Love will get the ball back with about 4 minutes left to tie or win the game.
And he'll take another shot, throw a pick, game over!
2-5, here we come!

100 percent. Harrison Jr has durability concerns for me.

I think if they're picking high enough to take Harrison, they're going to be taking a QB.

Our last offensive 1st round pick after Jordan Love was Derrick Sherrod in 2011.
We are going defense with our 1.
I wish I was joking because the offense is unwatchable

I honestly have no idea what they will do with a high pick. I wouldn't let Gute make that pick, but I doubt he's fired. To me if you bet the farm on Love and the team ends up with a top five pick after a dismal offensive season, the GM's gotta go.

Guessing Guty would go DL or CB to try and make up for his previous busts.

If they're in a position to take Harrison Jr. and they take Drake Maye, fire Gute into the Sun.
