In one of the deepest drafts for OT in recent years he's gonna waste his top ten pick on one.

I'm upset they won, but I'm glad it was almost entirely 1st and 2nd year guys getting the yards and TDs on offense instead of dudes like Jones who wont be here next year.

He threw a perfect pass that should have gone for 6 but the receiver dropped it

Yep, this board hates quarterbacks. Herbert is awesome, top 3 in the league for sure.
Chargers choke game after game under Staley but it isn't because of Herbert.

@JuMosq
Dontayvion Wicks led the Packers with 91 receiving yards, despite playing just 24 of the offense's 72 snaps versus the Chargers. It's beyond time to see his snap counts increase.

I like him but he also has a game changing drop every game with just those snaps. But like his potential

The offense continues to improve. The last 3 games they've looked like a legit NFL offense. I thought Jordan Love was mostly good again, certainly had some misses, but mostly played a good game and delivered some big throws late. I wanted to give credit to MLF especially. Love said after the game that the Watson TD was drawn up on the sideline by MLF, it wasn't a play in their play book. I know people think MLF is terrible but I remain fully on board with him. Up and down day for the pass catchers but more ups then downs, Reed was awesome, Wicks made some nice plays although a big drop in there, Doubs & Watson each made some nice plays. The Oline was bad in this one which makes the fact that the offense still played well that much more impressive.

I'm not giving too much credit to the defense, they got lucky the Chargers dropped 3 seperate TDs

That wasn't his fault and the other drops and issues before that weren't but 2 drives to get a fg and they could only muster 1 first down, which was on a 3rd down DPI.

Yeah, it looks like they hit on both Valentine and Johnson, Jr. which is huge. Overall, it appears to be a damn good 2023 draft. They need another one in 2024.

Dontayvion Wicks
Karl Brooks
Carrington Valentine
Anthony Johnson Jr

The Packers had 4 day 3 rookies positively contribute to a victory yesterday. That should be incredibly exciting if you're a Packer fan

This doesn't include the other rookies like Jayden Reed, Luke Musgrave, Tucker Kraft, & Lukas Van Ness, who all were anywhere from solid to awesome yesterday.

It's hard to not be thrilled with the 2023 draft class so far

Even thought he didn't play a ton, Rhyan did enough to show that he should replace Runyan at RG.

Absolutely. Runyan isn't going to be on the squad next year either so no reason not give Rhyan those reps

That number between Brooks & Wooden is really interesting. It makes sense as Brooks has been better than Wooden this year.

At minimum LVN should be Edge 3 ahead of Enagbare at this point

I'll also keep banging the drum that I'd love to see Wicks get more playing time.

Last one, at this point Walker has consistently outplayed Nijman for a few weeks now, and Nijman won't be on the team next season. End the rotation and let Walker have the job the rest of the year.

In addition to Love looking better yesterday, to my eye-test, the receivers also looked to be getting separation more often. I don't know if there's a metric for that

I don't know how in the hell WR snaps should be distributed at this point. Wicks clearly deserves to be on the field more, but Doubs and Reed have made enough plays to earn their opportunities, while Watson is the guy who'll be afforded the opportunity to pull himself up by his bootstraps, and it's not like Musgrave needs fewer opportunities either. Maybe spread them out with more 4 WR sets with the snaps Kraft is getting right now? 30 snaps for him feels like too many right now.

The playbook does seem to be more open than it was prior to this three game stretch and that shows up in the tape which looked pretty disastrous during that four game stretch.
