Game 1: Packers Vs. Eagles - 9/6/24 - 7:15 - Peacock/NBC (Milwaukee & Green Bay markets)
We'll keep the lead-up thread open for awhile for anyone wishing to discuss the safety issues. This will be the football aspect of it.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Jacobs getting a billion touches helps my fantasy at least lol. Hopefully a guy like Merriweather can step up if he's elevated.

I just saw this myself and wondered if it's legit because of how stupid it is, even by NFL standards

Need to be very aware of lining up properly on offense.

That is a pretty brutal flight. Kind of wish they would have went down there a few days ago.

So will punts rotate counterclockwise in the Southern Hemisphere?
Coriolis effect aside, I think my favorite stupid announcer trick of all time was way back in the late Lombardi era when Packers RB Donny Anderson, the guy who knocked out Fred "The Hammer" Williamson in SB I, was the punter. I think it was old-timey announcer Tom Moore who seldom failed to note that catching a Donny Anderson punt was tricky because he was left-footed and the ball spun the other way.
Even Anderson himself bought into it.

“My ball had a backward spin, made it tough for punt returners, plus there was the hang time factor and the fact I kicked the ball high,” Anderson said. “Anyway, I would punt early in practice to Elijah [Pitts] about 15 minutes before everyone else got on the field. And on this occasion, Elijah was having a tough day catching my punts. Coach Lombardi was watching us and Elijah said to him, ‘Coach, I’ve never caught a left-footed punter before and it’s really hard to catch.’ The main reason Elijah was having a tough time was because the spiral was going the opposite way.

Looks like it will be unusually cool, upper 60's at game time.

Just from scanning twitter, it sounds like it's 70-75 percent Packers fans among the crowd. Hopefully they give the players juice and it's more of a home game for us.

The "wearing green" thing is overblown and just clickbait. Locals know the Packers having nothing to do with their soccer rivals nor is anyone wearing Packer gear part of any gang. GO PACK GO

It's going to feel weird watching a Packer's defense not go into a soft zone on every 3rd & long.

One might say their anthem waxes ours.
