GT: South Dakota at Bucky - 9/7/24 - 2:30 - FS1

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Fri Sep 6, 2024 4:12 pm

The Coyotes are in the FCS division (formerly division II). They made the playoffs last year, going 9-2 and then beat Sacramento State and losing to North Dakota State They have been playing a D1 school early in the season the past few years. Missouri, Kansas State, Kansas, Oklahoma. They've never won, but lost to Kansas by only 3 (a bad Kansas team that only won 1 other game in 2021). In last weeks win over Northern State (who?) they mostly ran the ball. Pierre rished 13-136 and 2TD's. Their quarterback, Aidan Bouman, is decent.

So they have some talent and we're not very good so any outcome won't surprise me.

Go Bucky.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

FWIW, very pedantic, but I think FCS was once D1AA. There's a separate D2 which was mostly private schools.

Anyways, oddly, this is like the only game without a Vegas line. All of the FBS vs. FCS games got one in the past 24 hours but don't see one for this game yet.

I'm not that familiar with it. Wiki lists them:

1952–1959: NAIA
1956–1972: NCAA College Division
1973–2007: NCAA Division II
2008–present: NCAA Division I FCS

No idea how these guys would compare to WMU, but obviously that was substantially more encouraging.

Okay fine, I'll keep watching but they're still on probation. Very impressive first passing play by TVD.

I'm no expert but this two man front is not good.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

That was clear targeting imo, it's been a rule for about a decade now, defenders need to learn to not lead with the crown of their helmet

This legitimately might be the worst Badger team of my lifetime(I'm 32)
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Nah I think the last two years were clearly worse.

We'll see but last years team wasn't losing to Buffalo in the 4th quarter and they beat Georgia Southern by 21. Without looking it up I can't remember a Badger team that struggled this much against low level opponents

I feel like they are hiding a lot. Not to say its a good idea, but they've barely used Pauling or Trech for example.
