Rams Leadup

Rams are 1-3 and beat up but this will still be a tough road game.

Narveson's miss in week 1: Had he made it we would have been down 2 instead of 5 and the final drive would have needed a FG instead of a Hail Mary. Certainly could have won it (of course he would have had to make the game winning FG).

Week 2: Missed a FG but didn't affect the game

Week 3: Missed a FG but it was negated by a penalty.

Week 4: Missed 2 FG in 2 point loss.

After the game MLF said the usual things, "young kickers struggle", "he looks great in practice" yada yada yada

It would be malpractice not to at least bring in some kickers this week.

Packers open as 3.5 point road favorites

What's the thicker kicker Harrison Mevis up to? I remember him being pretty clutch in College and I don't think he's on a team right now.

As MD said, need to work out some guys this week.

On his next tour through WI I hope he takes a detour to lambeau and get a few kicks in... I mean.. It can't hurt. 40 is the new 30...that's what they say nowadays.

Being overlooked is in games 2 and 3, there were crucial times where we were up 6pts in the 4th and punted instead of even considering a 53 (or so) yard FG. I don't blame Lafleur, and our defenses showed up on the next drive. But if either of those teams score a TD on the next drive....

He can thank Love for this one.

Bad, but not nearly as bad as Mahomes taking out Rice's ACL.

Narveson honeydicked us with his preseason performance. Brutal ever since he came here. Is it a holder/snapper issue? Is Bissacia telling them to do something that's not working? So many questions.

IIRC, on the last miss, Larravee called it as a high snap. I realize kicks are bang-bang-bang, but whoever the kicker is, he's got to roll with it.

When they tryout the next kicker, they should also tryout another long snapper too. I'm not sold on Orzek as NFL quality

Have to put the Vikings game in the rearview quickly and get the W in this one. 2-2 after 4 games isn't the end of the world but doesn't leave you with much wiggle room to lose a game like this.

Getting a new kicker in has to be step 1. Narveson has cost us in both of our losses.

I know kickers are never a sure thing, but frankly, we cannot have a kicker who is only a 50-50 shot from makeable ranges. The 40-49 range in particular is huge. Carlson was 50% from that range last year, and he's no longer in the league. Narveson has been no better.

Brandon McNanus is now free to sign with a team. He would make a lot of sense

The miss against the Colts actually kept them in it when it would have definitely killed the game off.

The rams are not in a good state right now, but they have been tough. Should definitely be a win, maybe one of those that is close then we kind of pull away at the end.

Anders had a higher percentage than McManus last season. And McManus was even worse the year before.

I think our long snapper is terrible and was surprised he got handed the spot again this year.
Another thing is, Love has more inceptions in the losses than Narverson has missed kicks. 4 to 3. There’s plenty of blame to go around for the two losses. As the Packers have beaten themselves more than the other teams have taken it to them so far.
Gary and Clark have been underperforming so far too.

MLF is good at offense. If only they could be decent on defense.

Stafford and McVay is a dynamo HC/QB pairing. It’s safe to say that if there are 2 ppl out there that believe they’re better than their record, it’s these 2. Kyren Williams is a touchdown machine and I still won’t trust a Packers defense for 48mins until the jobs completed. Vikings game sucked but there was plenty the team should’ve built off of throughout the week. If they’re prepared and stout in the trenches we’ll win, if they take LARs record at face value and play down to the competition, it’ll be a long Sunday afternoon. I think MLF and Love show up and play a perfect game and the D hangs on would be my best prediction.

Pack - 27
Rams - 20
