Game 5: Packers at Rams - 10/6/24 - 3:25 - CBS

Both teams down receivers but this is a very winnable game and one we have to have.
What are your GameDay routines? I always watch at home with 1-2 others and that's it. From noon on I'm concentrating on football and I don't want a bunch of non football yapping as a distraction.
I love Red Zone and that's what's on in whatever window the Packers aren't playing.
I don't sit and watch any pregame shows but I have one on as I do other stuff. Usually ESPN at 9, NFLN or Fox at 10 and Fox at 11. Yeah I know Jimmy and especially Terry are washed but it's a habit.
By 11 or earlier I'm getting food ready. I like to have stuff I can eat throughout the day. With Red Zone there are no breaks. Occasionally, if I don't have time, I'll order pizza or something else to be delivered. Tomorrow is a hodgepodge. Air fryer wings, meatballs (I make a grape jelly sauce I like) and sloppy joes in the slow cooker. With an 8:30 game tomorrow morning I'll have the meatballs and sloppy joes done before and hope for an 11:30-noon window to make the wings.
I love football Sundays so much.
Go Pack Go.

My game day ritual.
If it's a night game..wake up 15 - 30 minutes before... Have a cup of tea and watch the game. Halftime take a shower and get ready to go to the office. Game ends... Rush out to door and go to work.
If it's a noon game or 3:30pm game. Wake up and avoid social media and minimize looking at the internet or checking messages.
Replay the game while on the commute to work. Hopefully commercials are already edited out so can forward quickly. If it's a good game detour for breakfast.
If it's a really good game... Turn breakfast into lunch and finish brunch and then the game and go to work and go straight thru no break until night and leave the office.
If it's an OK game.. Not too compelling. Watch a quarter or so on the morning commute. Watch some at lunch...watch a bit during afternoon coffee break... Finish game on the way home if haven't finished yet.
If I think the game will suck or can't be bothered... Watch the 30-40 minutes edited version on the way to work.

Nervous about this one. Stafford is probably the best QB we'll face so far, and even as the Rams are missing some key players, I could see him picking apart our defense if we don't get pressure. Especially if Jaire doesn't play.
The Doubs disappearance plus Watson's injury means our offense will be missing some key players, too.
And we're on the road. Against McVay, who knows LaFleur and his offense pretty well.
On paper, this should be a win. But in classic Packer fan fashion, I'm ready for the worst.

I usually just watch soccer sunday mornings in the lead up. At least we got a decent nfl game too.

Didn't realize we have so many injuries. Wyatt will be missed, hopefully Jaire can go.

Jaire is going to be an interesting decision the next time his deal needs to be extended/reworked. Dudes good but just can't seem to stay healthy.

Getting Valentine back will help a little bit. Is Jordan Morgan ever going to play? Just put him on IR if you can't get his shoulder right.

Next two weeks feel big for this team. Win both and you feel pretty good at 4-2 all things considered. Lose one or both and you start getting to 'must win' territory way earlier than you want.
