Lions Leadup

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Oct 27, 2024 8:16 pm

Lions are on a roll. Love with a groin. Williams with a hamstring. Jaire with whatever his latest injury is.

Have to win this at home.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

People who are fans of Packers and Bucks. Question for you:

You can either have Packers for sure sweep Detroit or Bucks for sure sweep Boston, Indiana, and Denver. Both are only regular season only. Which do you choose?

Is Marshawn Lloyd gonna be back? That would be nice.

Packers easily. Each win is way more important in football.

Packers. That means we're basically 8-2 with the 2 hardest games off the schedule and in great position to win the division.

I'm only half-joking when I say that I'd still give them a decent chance at winning this one without Love, Williams, and Jaire. But not if Jacobs is out too.

I can see that. Would be nice if Lloyd could make it back for that game if Jacobs is out. Thankfully the bye week comes at the right time.

I can't believe that I saw folks online saying that we should start Willis even if Love is healthy.

Usually Vegas is right with injuries and this line makes it seem like Love is out.

If Love can't move but wants to play, it's a closer call. Obviously I would not otherwise. Love when unable to move is kind of easy to defend - basically turns him into end-of-tenure Packers or Jets Aaron Rodgers.

Also, it sucks that this is the home one. Obviously, winning the division is huge and it sucks that we got stuck in a great division this year/stretch of years...but if we can get most of these guys healthy out of the bye, this game is kind of house money to me...see what we've got but I'm assuming a loss and let's just make/get into the playoffs relatively healthy.

I'm just assuming a loss and trying to be optimistic where things go from there. If we somehow win...giddyup.

Has Love looked "healthy" in any game this season? I would rather Love come out of the bye normal as can be and also Malik has played about as well as someone could in that position.

Jaire getting an MRI on his knee today. Whatever the outcome of that it probably doesn't bode well for him playing on Sunday, especially with the bye coming up.

Jaire missed 10 games last year, 12 in 2021. I'm guessing with a bye after this game both Jaire and Love will sit this one out. It sucks since it's a division game.

We need love healthy for as much of the season as possible. If he's not, I hope they sit him with the bye next week.

Assuming we lose to the Lions, had you told me we'd be 6-3 heading into the bye with Willis playing 3.5 games and our kicker costing us 2 games I'd tell you you're full of ****.

Great year so far hopefully all of our good players are ok LOL

Potentially not having Jaire and Evan Williams in the secondary against Goff who's on fire right now, is terrifying.

Not that those aren’t huge losses but this is when you have to just put your faith in Hafley, his scheme and Gutes roster construction and team building. Next man up is always a thing. Lions lost their heart beat on defense and haven’t skipped a beat. The old Steelers defenses would go through the injury carousel and show up each Sunday to rip your heart out. When starters are out, the hungry nobody has to step up. No better time than now.
