Game 9: Lions at Packers - 11/3/24 - 3:25 - FOX

Big division game. Win and we're in first place. We're dinged up. Fortunately we have a bye next week but we'll be missing Williams, probably Myers and maybe Jaire, Love, Jacobs and others.

Last year we split, Lions whipped us at Lambeau.

Clete Blakeman and crew officiating.

Forecast is for rain, temps in the low 50's, breezy.

After almost getting to their first Super Bowl, blowing a 24-10 lead in the NFC Championship game, the Lions have been on a mission.

Lions currently favored by 3.

Go Pack Go.

I'm happy with how the Packers season has gone. Despite being a young team, new defensive coordinator and Love missing a few games the team has showed alot of resilience going 6-2. I think they'll finish the year strong and be a tough out in the playoffs just like last year, with a real shot at a superbowl starting next year.

But I don't feel good about this game. Lions are in peak form and the Packers likely lose by 2 scores. If Love, Alexander and Williams were healthy I might feel differently but they're not.

I’m assuming Love is playing, but if he is moving like last week, this is going to be a rough game.

Crappy weather is maybe an advantage?

I'm feeling the team has some bumps and bruises and might come up a bit short somewhat depleted against a top opponent.

Never know, this team has no quit in them. Hopefully they can put together a big W at home and get the bye to rest up.

Reed has just 2 receptions each of the last 2 weeks (a big one last week). Like to see more from him this week. But not the jet sweep. Retire that one for awhile.

I know it's being leaked that Love is playing tomorrow but I wouldn't be surprised if the Packers were engaging in some subterfuge. He's still listed as questionable.

Tom seems set at staying at tackle, much better payday for him there versus at guard or center. Jenkins already got paid id wager they play him at center, Rhyan at LG and Morgan at RG. Pretty sure that's what they did last time.

And if he's limping let him rest for a couple weeks. We've got the best backup in the NFL.

If this is still a competitive game in the 4th quarter I will be encouraged.

I think I was on the same page as everybody heading into this game - bye coming up, Love was looking like he should've been pulled much earlier against JAX, let's just get through this week without our guys and regroup. I am wondering - Lions are beasting, and is there particular motivation to try and out seed them so if we see them come the playoffs, it'd be in lambeau vs a dome for Goff, given Goff has THE WILDEST turf/grass splits of any QB.

If Evan Williams was healthy (crazy saying this about a rook), I'd say let's get after it. With him out - really hoping for a quick trigger and we keep it close. Sort of feel like with injuries this will play out like the Vikings game, though Detroit is a class above MN. Fingers crossed they surprise like their response game to Detroit last year.

Their defense isnt very good and I think our run D gets rolled. Could be a high scoring one

No Jaire and no Evan Williams is scary against this offense.

Hafley has his work cut out for him.
