Last year we went to Detroit on Thanksgiving at 4-6, Lions were 8-2, smacked them early in jumping to a 23-6 lead. This year we go in at 9-3. Detroit is having a great year. They did have some injuries on defense yesterday, we'll see how that plays out. It would be great to have Jaire back but I'm not counting on it.

Last night Tauscher was adamant that we will win. Cited all of the injuries on defense the Lions sustained yesterday.

Alex Lasry would be proud. At the same time, I wouldn't put it past Campbell to set this whole thing up as some ploy to try and gain an advantage and put out wrong play info

I love what Jacobs is doing inside the 10 rn but it's on tape now and won't keep working very easy... time to add in a Malik package .. that's a wasted weapon on the bench.. I want to win.. I'm the Rpo like the saints did with Taysum Hill.

The switching out QBs thing has never been smart imo. All you're doing is shrinking the playbook that the defense has to defend.
Even with Taysum Hill never thought it made much sense to take the threat of Brees behind center away. Like sure Hill could be effective at what they asked him to do and picking up some of those rushing yards. You know what can also help with that? Not having 10 defenders in the box cause they know your gonna run.

Right but also once the Malik stuff is on tape, that's a few hours that the other team has to worry about how to stop it... then just keep Love in and now they had less time to scheme against our usual goal line moves. It's a potent weapon -- Malik won us a few games, he's proven to be dependable with ball security/etc.

The other team doesn't need to spend time looking that tape..... "Willis is in the game on 3rd and short..... OK. Read option incomming. Thanks for taking your star QB off the field" is all the thought process that happening.
If you want to run a read option just run it with Love. It's not like he isn't mobile enough. In fact they do run it with him from time to time.
If you don't want Love to take an extra hit just run a wildcat formation. At least that might catch the D off guard comming out of the huddle.
But taking your star QB off the field, to run what at best would be a handful of plays, is dumb. I said it was dumb when the Saints would take the ball out of Brees hands for Hill. It would be dumb to do it with Willis for Love

My favorite part was the "yeah our 223 lb All-Pro running back has been unstoppable inside the 10 but that's on tape now so let's do something else". Lol, wut?

Packers up to 5th in DVOA. Crazy how good the top of the NFC is this year.
https://ftnfantasy.com/dvoa/nfl/team-total-dvoaThis game comes down to Love dominating. I don't see us stopping their offense very frequently given how dominant their offensive line is. We need to score and score a ton which means we have to capitalize in the red zone and have zero turnovers. How bad are the Lions defensive injuries?

13th in Defense, 15th in Special Teams
It's so nice to not have a unit that's just dreadful this season

I find a lot of these gimmick packages are used as a lifeline for an otherwise mediocre offense. I don't mind having them in the back pocket, but I think our offense is good enough on its down to dominate in the red zone when they execute well.
My bigger concern is that LaFluer is extraordinarily conservative when it comes to taking risks, especially on fourth down. He needs to go for it more often than he does.

That is interesting considering he was one of the most aggressive coaches last season. I wonder what has changed his mindset. Below are last years numbers
