Can't let this Lions loss get to us. Have a big one in Seattle on SNF in ten days.

This is a big game. Seattle has an uncharacteristic losing record at home (3-4) but it's a tough place to play. We're only a game ahead of them and they'd have the tiebreaker against us with a win (if they don't win their division). They have a big game at AZ on Sunday. We're only a game ahead of Washington too and our conference record is only 4-4. Washington has a bye this week.

This is really a must win.

Fascinated to see how MLF handles this. There is a very real chance we play Seattle in the 1st round of the playoffs, so does he go all out to win or does he keep some gameplan cards closer to the vest

I wonder what's up with Reed. He was targeted just once and had no receptions against Detroit. In fact he was only on the field for half the 50 snaps:

Watson 46
Wicks 39
Reed 25
Melton 9
Heath 6

Over the past 4 games he's had 8 catches for 73 yards.

I'm not sure what's up with his snap count last game but with how Green Bay's offense is ran they are more than happy to target whoever the defense puts their worst defenders on.

Our leading WRs in yards this year
@ DET- Watson 114 yards
Vs MIA- Kraft 78 yards
Vs SF- Doubs 54 yards
@ CHI- Watson 150 yards
Bye
Vs DET- Reed 113 yards
@ JAX- Kraft 78 yards(Doubs 72 yards)
Vs HOU- Doubs 94 yards
Vs ARI- Watson 68 yards
@ LAR- Kraft 88 yards
Vs MIN- Reed 139 yards
@ TEN- Watson 67 yards(Willis game)
Vs IND- Doubs 62 yards(Willis game)
@ PHI- Reed 138 yards

Watson has led 4 times
Reed 3 times
Kraft 3 times
Doubs 3 times

It's been pretty evenly distributed all season, and that goes for targets too. Our leaders in targets on the season are

Reed- 59
Wicks- 56
Kraft- 54
Doubs- 53
Watson- 45

Yeah it's pretty even, just surprised Reeds production has fallen so much recently, especially with Doubs out the last couple of games.

As others have mentioned - may be a product of other teams taking notes of Reeds strengths and taking them away, coupled with Love's willingness to spread the ball around to (in most cases) the right reed. Lot of QB's lock in on 1 specific guy and think that hinders the offense a bit.

Sounds like Packers will be going all white Sunday night, bringing back the mismatched helmets

I prefer an even distribution of targets versus Rodgers's reputation for always looking at one or two favorites and eschewing everyone else. Makes our offense much harder to defend.

Reed is still our ultimately gadget weapon, though.

Definitely feels like Reed has been used more as a decoy recently. He's still involved a lot in motions but we haven't tried a jet sweep or anything like that with him in awhile. Need to get him looks in space in again.

They don't need to force feed him Adams style but they absolutely should be game planning a few touches a game specifically to get Reed the ball in space.

Reed's first 8 carries this season gained 110 yards. The next 4 carries were for 0,0,0 and -5 yards. And then he had one for 23 against Miami. He can be effective in the jet sweep but teams are looking for it.

Mike Macdonald must have been watching copious film during the Seahawks' Week 10 bye, because the Seahawks have emerged as one of the NFL's hottest teams. The catalysts for this four-game winning streak, per people with the team, are streamlined communication on defense, lineup changes on that side of the ball (rookie linebacker Tyrice Knight and safety Coby Bryant playing more prominent roles) and a dominant stretch from defensive lineman Leonard Williams.

Additionally, sources call out efforts to improve the rushing attack and watching receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba win one-on-one matchups when DK Metcalf pushes the coverage to his side. Smith-Njigba has jumped to fifth in the league in receiving (911 yards) and told me "I'm not going to put a ceiling on" what the offense can do. Quarterback Geno Smith cited two other reasons for the shift during Sunday's postgame news conference: culture and coaching. The vibes are good in Seattle.

Everyone practiced today except Bullard. Doubs and Williams still in protocol though. But it looks like Jaire is a go. For now anyway.
